1 large can Tomato Sauce
1 15 oz can diced tomatos
3 T dried Italian herbs
1 Tsp fresh ground pepper
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp sugar
1 Tsp kosher salt
1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
1/2 cup good olive oil
1/2 cup good red wine (opt.)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 yellow onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced

Saute onion and garlic in a little olive oil until translucent. Add tomato sauce and diced tomatos. Add remaining ingrediants and simmer for 1 hour. If you'd like to add meat, I recommend 1 -2 lbs of hot Italian Turkey sausage. Remove from casings and saute with onion and garlic.

I love this one, I hope it helps

SPAGHETTI SAUCE

4 tbsp. oil (from browned meat or olive oil)
2 lb. sausage or ground pork or beef or chicken
5-7 cloves garlic (more if you like it)
1 onion
1 1/2 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. marjoram
1/2 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. thyme
1/4 tsp. pepper
Dash and sprinkle salt
Many mushrooms
1/2 c. grated carrots (if you like)
1-2 bell peppers
2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese, grated
72 oz. tomato sauce (many sm. cans or 2 lg. cans)
1 tsp. honey
Fresh parsley

Brown meat in skillet by tearing meat into small pieces in hot skillet, turning meat to cook all sides. Some oil will separate from meat during frying.
In large pot or skillet used to cook sauce in, pour 4 tablespoons oil from meat. Add spice, onion and minced garlic to the heated oil, then stir in the remaining spices. Stir until onions get soft and garlic is a light golden brown (do not allow garlic to get too dark or it will be burned and bitter).

Clean and chop many fresh mushrooms and add to skillet. Add carrots and chopped bell peppers, occasionally stirring as to saute evenly.

Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Add tomato sauce cans (cooked tomatoes) to skillet.

Stir in drained browned meat.

Cover pot and let it simmer for an hour, not boil. Make spaghetti pasta 15 minutes before serving preparing according to directions on package.

Mince about 2-3 tbsp. garlic. Heat olive oil in 4 qt. saucepan. Mash 1 can anchovies in hot olive oil. Add garlic, cook for one minute. Add 2 tsp. red pepper flakes. Add one large can of whole tomatoes in liquid. Bring to simmer. Drain 1/4 cup of capers. Add to spaghetti sauce. At the end add 1 can of chopped kalamata olives. Serve on hot pasta with grated parmesan.

The secret to the sauce is the meat...doesn't really matter the fat content...because you want the fat..size of the ground beef....has to be worked until you have the content of almost a paste..when u add the tomatoe base 4 your sauce u want the meat to blend...

you know what...my wife says use Ragu.....because as a Professional Chef I cannot really explain my recipe.. so at least add meat

Cook the spaghetti in spicy V8. The spaghetti absorbs the excess water and voila. It doesn't get a lot easier than that.

I usually fry up some sausage, or hamburger and veggies and a few spices and toss them in as well.

This one is really good and I like to believe it's fairly simple.

Canned tomato sauce
Basil
Oregano
Olive Oil
Garlic
Panchetta
Crushed red pepper flakes
Yellow onion
Cream

Now, it's a simple list of ingredients and it depends how much of it you need in order to know how much of each ingredient, but, just start with a pot (one that will fit all of your sauce) and add the olive oil to a warm pan, once hot, add 9 oz. of Panchetta, cut into little pieces (it makes it easier to cut if you put the meat into the freezer for about 10 minutes before you slice it), once the meat is cooked, add half of one yellow onion, cut into tiny pieces, then, once onions are translucent, add one clove of minced garlic (just to be safe, know that garlic is sold in bulbs, and the little pieces inside are the cloves) and as much crushed red pepper flake you like, then, add your canned tomato sauce, then, add your basil and oregano (if using dried, use about a pinch per can of sauce). simmer sause for 10-15 minutes on medium heat, then, add a tablespoon of half and half or cream per can of sauce.
(ps. the cream can be omitted, but, it adds a great richness)

Hope you like!

I have always loved Prego!! The light colored tomato one is really the best. Try Trader Joe's and you might even find a healthier option.
