My brother is 32 and still living at home.I am 23 but looking for a job so i can move out.
I think any age over 30 is way to old to be living with your momma and poppa.

Depends on the situation, and why they are still there.
Any child should be in school, and helping with the household chores. They should, if possible, remain in the family home.
Any one over 18, and living at home (even students), should be contributing to the family household, both financially and physically. They should be contributing financially towards the bills, and groceries. They should earn enough to cover their personal expenses. They should be keeping their own space clean and tidy, as well as helping with the general household chores, whether that's mowing, washing, cleaning, dishes, or whatever. They should not make themselves an added burden on the family, all the while looking towards insuring their independence (moving out) by the time they are 25, or so.
Any adult "child" who lives at home and refuses to contribute should be given a lesson in reality, and shown the door. An adult should be exactly that, and be responsible for themselves.
In the case of a disabled person, it would depend on the degree of independence that they can achieve.
In the case of elderly or dependent parents, there is no time limit. As long as the person is actively involved in that care. That could include things like transportation, meal preparation, cleaning, medicine doses, etc. This can be a situation of mutual benefit.

That is a good one! At one point in time I would have said 18, and that is when I moved out. I lost my dad less than 4 months later. I still would not say stay there until you are 50, but I would say don't jump and run just because you can. When you do move out you are giving up (most of the time) all that you know as home that can be very tough, the people that you love unconditionally are usually there and that means more than anything. I think it is a personal decision. As we all know it does help us to grow as a person to get out on our own, although it needs to be at the right time when you are good and ready, not when someone else thinks you are.

I'm 23 and have been out on my own for the past four years, I couldn't imagine living with my parents at my age! I think 25 is definitely getting a bit too old to be living with parents, unless you have some kind of disorder that requires round-the-clock care!

If it's your home, I don't see why it should be a problem. I would rather not live to see 100 though. I don't care if medical technology improves tenfold - I really just have no inclination to be shuffled about in a wheelchair doing not much of anything all day except drooling on myself. At that point I will be too old to be living, let alone at home.
