How far do they place the breathing tube down your trachea? Also, why do you have to be naked when you have surgery?

I mean why you can't wear underwear and bra.

they place the tube just past the vocal cords and blow up a little balloon so it will stay there.

when you get to the operating room, you will still have your gown on, and they will untie it so it doesnt get stuck under you when you move to the OR table. they do no completely remove the gown unless necessary for the procedure. it depends on what procedure youre having done. most lower body cases, they just lift it up to your chest. for upper body, they pull it down until they reach the operating site. we prefer not to totally expose the patients since the OR is kept cold and we need to keep you as covered as possible. i hope i helped. good luck

they place it far enough so that both lungs get an equal amount of air, usually a few inches past the vocal chords. You are naked because the area must be completely sterile so no germs are brought into the operating room.....you are usually covered up with sterile sheets unless that is where they are doing the surgery.

?....UR playing right? How can you expect a surgeon to operate on you while you'll dressed??? the gown needs to flow freely so the doctor can get to the area being treated. As for intabating you (thye tube) they ease it at the angle of the throat, and it goes as far as your body will permit. Don't worry I doubt anybody on the surgical team is checking you out

Besides sterilization, they probably want to keep the fabric from interfering with the incision and causing an infection. Also, surgery rooms are cold, and I assume being uncovered has to do with that.

dunt know the first question but the second one umm if not naked then it be harder cuz the cloth get in the way and might have risk or effect.
