I heard that Ali doesn't make you lose weight, but it just makes your waist thinner. People have told me tho that you have to go to the bathroom often and that you have to be careful when you pass gas, because sometimes something might come out if you pass gas while you are on the pill. So I would say...if you are a person who passes gas often then no, but if you can get to a bathroom quickly wherever you are then sure.

Well, today was my first day, and it went well. I see that the side effects are not all the same for everyone. But if you go over your recommended fat intake in one meal, you will feel the effects. For me, being 200 pounds, my daily calorie intake is supposed to be 1800, my daily fat intake 60 grams, and 19 grams per meal. Thats not difficult for me, plus i already exercise. You have to do what works for you, if you can do it without Alli great, but so far i see great things about it. The poop stuff isnt so bad, there might be some when you wipe. If you punch alli into the search area here on yahoo answers, you'll see that so far its been doing well, but only if you follow the food intakes.Plus they have a cool little book with all the fast food places's calories and fat listings, along with other everyday foods.
DAY 3: Stools are wierd, but im not crapping in my pants. I had 2 slices of pizza and still no poop soup. I dont have a scale in my home, so its too early to see any weight loss, so im working my *** off on Tae Bo.

I've taken Alli since it came on the market, about 4 weeks. In that time I have lost 8 pounds without changing my diet or exercise. I have changed from an evening heavy meal to a lite meal. I eat a heavier meal at lunch.
I have no real side effects. Loose stools but certainly not out of control. I can handle meetings, etc without worry. I think they advertise the side effects so they don't get sued by some nut case. For me it is an excellent experience. I am excited to see where my weight ends up.

ive really researched it and i wouldnt try it. i looked at the website, but also went on the mayo clinics website. they have a good point, they stated that if you take alli, the pill helps eliminate 25%of fat from your diet. but when you stop, you gain it all back, it would be like ADDING 25% of fat to your diet then!
one woman on the site posted a message saying that she took the perscription strength (which is stronger than the over the counter pill) and when she stopped, she gained a good portion of it back. now she is taking alli, because it is cheaper, and fears she will be taking it forever. the only way to maintain is to permanently eliminate 25% of fat from your diet. but lets face it, statistics show that most people dont follow a diet long term. so this is basically a way for drug companies to make billions more. sorry

So far I have lost 4 lbs in 3 weeks. You have to follow the diet as well. High fat meals will result in diarrhea. The most common side effect is oily spotting. I would recommend wearing a panty liner the first week.
Check out the Alli website for more information. I have found the nutritional tracker very helpful.
