you should be ashamed of yourself - There are so many people who have used these verses to abuse women and you know at that time in history - men regularly beat their wives. So is that what you want - justification to beat your wife?
I was a member of a church that felt this way and one day my wife asked me if she could speak to the church, I said ok. I mean you could have heard a pin drop - I dont' know how many people treated me with disrespect just for letting her speak. If a woman has gifts she should exercise them. Paul talks about this too. You are just trying to find Scriptures that back up your point so you can go on abusing women. Well God will judge you for that.
You can't take those verses to mean we should be harsh with women. Those are harsh verses, and I don't think we should go back to the barbaric ways that were practiced during those times, when men regularly beat their wives.

you didn't include the scriptures that tell husbands to "love your wife as yourself" and to treat her as a "weaker vessel"...proverbs says that a "capable wife" is a treasure....husbands shouldn't be "aggrivating their children" and should be "husband to one wife"....there's so much you left out of these scriptures!!! ....your twisting the word of God to suit your argument?!!! not fair at all!!!!

kindness
faith

mildness
long-suffering
a christian man, husband or not, should follow this the same as a christian women should....
