Pitch Black outside and you have on sunglasses

For those of you who gave the "blind" answers (ж¤cвэcк¤ж, Aquaboy, moosehinich, Hyper Science Class!…) I'm sure she was taking the blind aspect out of the question. Use a little common sense. Blind people usually have a cane or a dog with them, okay? She was merely asking why non-blind people wear shades at night, so stick with the gist of the question.
I have theories, too.
1. Pirplepashn hit it on the nose. Some people are bothered by glare, and need to filter it, day and night.
2. Pretty granny may have it right, too. A person may wanna hide a black eye, or soothe his red eyes.
3. For the most part, aside from those other reasons, I think people wear shades at night just to try to look cool. Of course, we all know instead of coolish, they look foolish.

I always get the feeling that the reason why people wear sunglasses at night is because they think they look cool wearing them. In fact, I've seen people wear sunglasses indoors too!
Some people wear shades to conceal their blindness.

it's a style to wear big sunglasses. Now whenever you see a teenager wearing sunglasses in the morning it's just a coincidence.

My father wears prescription eyeglasses that are shaded like sunglasses. The glare from the TV and the general lights in apartments and stores irritates his eyes so that is why he opted for darker shaded lenses.

possibly they actually like them or is an element of their outfit. final year i had a woman in my international classification that wore solar colorings on an identical time as in college. we've been interior and it wasn't even a sunny day. weird and wonderful

Depends on the person.
Reason 1: They think it makes them look cool.
Reason 2: To hide those red eyes from smoking or drinking too much! :)
