there is not any longer something incorrect with this. It is going on continuously. At particular speeds the fantastic will enhance. often times we sense that folk want a citation yet we don't choose to hit them with a huge fantastic so we write it for a decrease velocity. On NC citations there's a block for the violator's velocity it particularly is become self sufficient from the genuinely charge. as quickly as I write a dashing fee ticket and shrink the fee of the violation I placed the genuinely velocity interior the separate block. as an occasion, i might clock somebody at fifty 5 in a 35 mph zone. i might come to a determination to place in writing the citation for 40 9 in a 35 mph zone and that i placed that interior the violation section. in spite of the shown fact that, interior the fee section I placed R-fifty 5 (meaning I clocked them with radar at fifty 5 mph). That way the ADA knows of I already decrease them a ruin. If the violator pleads no longer responsible then at trial I testify to the genuinely velocity I clocked them at (fifty 5 mph interior the occasion). The decide has no problem with this. officers have discretion to do issues like this. it particularly isn't any distinctive then combating somebody for a minor dashing violation and searching out their tag is expired and determining merely to place in writing them for the vehicle plate. i will nevertheless testify in courtroom that they have got been dashing because of the fact it particularly is a actuality. i'm no longer making something up hence it particularly isn't any longer a lie or falsification.

No they get prizes, like free toasters and such

No, they do not get any commissions or prizes and there are no quotas. Having said that my there are averages which police officers are expected to meet (or come close to) otherwise they are suspected of not doing their jobs. My brother left the police force because of this and all of the political bull crap.

Police Officers DO NOT get commisions for anything that they do. They get paid hourly or salary just like any other job. They dont have quotas (thats illeagal). If you are breaking the law in anyway and get in trouble for it.....thats an officer doing his job.

Police do not get any commission on anything they do. Keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better for getting your ticket so you can be mad at the police for catching you, not mad at yourself for breaking the law.

THAT IS A GREAT IDEA! It might make dealing with the dregs of the earth a little more agreeable...

I would definately vote for it.

That being said, the obvious answer is, NO, there is no commission.......... yet.

No, but they might as well. At least it would be more honest. Traffic penalties are already more about generating revenue for the state than promoting justice and safety for the public anyway.
