So, you lived your entire life and you never believed that Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Then you died and found out it was true all along. Which would be worse, to believe and find out it wasn't true or not believe and find out that it was true.

I have used this very saying on unbelievers before..
Not all unbelievers are the same.
Christians tend to lump them together. When dealing with anyone who is an unbeliever it is wise to discern why.
Many unbelievers are looking for the truth and want the truth where many aren't looking at all and don't want anyone to mess up their anti-religious bigotry.
I mean your dealing with rebellion here and some will not be convinced no matter what miracle or what evidence is out there.
Not only will they NOT be convinced they will go into a tail spin to ridicule, never asking themselves deep questions.
I know what the mentality of an unbeliever is...I used to be one!!
Sadly unbelievers don't question the emotion of deep seeded anger as they lash out at Christians.
I would ask myself as an unbeliever why so much hostility?
What is it about this " Jesus" that brings me to this roller coaster of emotions. That NO OTHER RELIGION DOES!!!
What is it about Christianity that is different..?
It's different because it's the TRUTH!
But no matter whether it is true or not the Bible states they prefer the lie.
After all Jesus Christ ( God in the flesh) performed all manner of miracles for 3 years and still was rejected.
I don't think that Israel or any other nation for that matter would of had different results. What I mean by that is Israel wasen't particlarly evil where as another nation would have been better to be born in.
Israel was just an example of the earth and the over all condtion of mankind.
And humanity has not changed for the better in 2000+ years.
And to expect that to change is folly.

Before I answer that you made me think of this. It is better to be hated for someone you are than to be loved for someone your not.
I would much rather believe my whole life through and then possibly find out it wasn't true. I don't want to not believe and then find out it was true and go to hell. That's a nightmare.

or even worse lose your life to imaginary promises that never happen when if the concept of a god would by virtue of goodness accept you for having lived a good life rather than squandering it through misguided beliefs based on misinterpretations of another man in the name god with out ever even bothering to think and question with the mind you think god gave you .how do people expect to go to god when they can't even go to good peace and happiness left to their own devices no kindness but only accusation and condemnation and they expect to go to god?

It would be worse to not believe and find out it was real, because you would then burn in hell for eternity for being a non believer.

Look, my doctor said it wasn't good for me to drink anymore, so I'm just going to go ahead and drink grape juice for this one, is that allowed?

*Drink* mmmm, refreshing.

You're using Pascal's Wager, which is totally flawed. Have you ever considered that Zeus is real? Why not believe in him?

believing and not believing is an illusion
you do what you are meant to do.
if u believe and you find out there isn;t - u don;t coz ur dead and it doesn;t matter
and to not believe and find out there is - he will forgive you if u deserve it
but to believe just in case there is - thats just cowardise

What if you die and find out that you were worshiping the wrong god all along?
It's just as likely...
