a spanking, thats why kids of my era stayed away from drugs and drank very little as a result we had fewer kids in jail per centage wise that is what this world needs now, to keep the kids out of trouble and the do gooders out of parents business

My father promised nothing. He just did it. He broke my nose, and several of my bones. He beat me with belts, switches, electrical cords, and about anything else you could imagine. He used me for a punching bag. But then, one day, I got stronger than him, and the whole thing stopped. He had turned fat, slow and alcoholic. In the last year before he died, he mostly just sat in front of the TV and didn't do anything at all.

It was my mother who handed out the disciple in our household. My Dad was happy to let her do it! Spanking - don't think she ever promised any punishment.

He wasn't the strict one...he would just flip the outside lite off and on if I took to long getting out of a boy's car.

Never had any interest in pushing boundaries.
My parents provided love, care and worked hard for our benefit, so why make their life harder. Never wanted to embarrass my parents so never did anything to be punished for.
