I have a family member who is a liar and two-faced. I thought she was my friend and confidant, to find out that she goes behind my back twisting everything I say to make me seem like a bad person when those are her thoughts, she has spread lies and is just having too much fun causing drama.....I am truely tired of biting my tounge and turning the other cheek and looking like an idiot or as if I do have something to hide by not saying anything. I have tried to lay low, but I have had enough and I need tips on how to call her out on her lies and put her in her place tactfully, not sure that can even be done. I am no longer interested in conserving a friendship with her....any ideas?

Thanks everyone! I needed to vent cause lord knows If I see her I just want to punch her teeth down her throat! I hate LIARS! but I think I am just going to remove myself from anything that involves her or that side of the family (my cousins wives love drama, and they feed off each other) and I would be no better If I joined in....so I am just going to cut myself off and eventually the truth will come out and they will look like the asses.........the sad part is that I am the MOH in her wedding and I have been trying to ignore it until her wedding "A WEEK FROM TODAY"...but I think I am just done with them and they can do what they will :)

why stress yourself out. Just stay away from her and dont speak to her. Dont tell her anything and she wont have any ammo. She sounds pathetic.

Its time to confront. I just did that with a fam member about 4 months ago. I spoke my mind after all these years of just trying to keep peace. But there is so much you can take from a hot tempered, finger pointing, self righteous beep! We don't speak now, and I am so fine with that. Don't need people like her to pull me down, ya know.

wait until there is a family gathering and everyone is sitting around,then ask her if she remembers(bring up what she has lied about)and say i remember it like this ,then keep on gong to the other lies.look at her and tell her your tired of her and her lies and you would like to never see her face or hear her voice again because she is such a dishonest person.

Ive had that problem with my cousin a few years ago but after a while it was really noticeable that she was lying and people didn't believe her anymore they would just ask me about it. You should prove that shes telling lies and tell someone about it.

stay the hell away from that pathetic and sick possessed person. if you have to look at her for any reason whats so ever because she is a family member... DO NOT LOOK HER IN THE EYES or you shall become possessed. no joke.

Tell the people who have heard these lies about you that your friend is LYING! If they don't believe you then you can tell your friend to lay low and if she keeps telling lies about you then don't be her friend.

Just move on. I had the same problems and your giving into them by arguing. they want the attention and the spotlight, and your going to give it to her by calling her out. It's not even Worth your time

Call her up and tell her that you dont apreciate what she is doing and that your not going to stand for it also depending on her age that she needs to grow up because it will bite her in the butt exspecialy if she is doing the same to her co workers.

Always be true to yourself first. Don't stoop to her level to retaliate or defend yourself. Keep to your own values. I think in your place I would just tell people the truth about myself and not talk to her or about her.
