The most significant problem with trying to justify any belief, philosophy, or religion on faith may be the fact that there is no good reason for only allowing a single religious group to use it. If one person can offer it as a defense of a religious tradition, why can't a 2nd person use it to defend an entirely different and incompatible religious tradition? Why can't a 3rd person use it to defend an incompatible, secular philosophy? They can't all be right, so at best only one is right while the other two are wrong (and it may be that all three are wrong).

This is why there is no "right" where faith is concerned. There is no validation for faith, just the faith itself.

In today's society, faith means something different to everyone. You have your secular beliefs and your occult beliefs and your church of scientology beliefs and you have you Christian beliefs. God tells us judge not lest the be judged. So how can I tell you who is right and who is wrong. From a person aspect, I have faith in Jesus Christ. Some call it blind faith and that's ok. I know how it has worked for me and I would be overjoyed to share it with the world. But for the sake of the subject here I will not. You have a good point when you ask who or what faith is right. These days that's a matter of personal opinion. I do hope that you find faith to work positive for you. THere are many rewards that go with wholeheartedly believing in Jesus Christ. Believe me I know. He saved my butt numerous times. And he tells us that even if we don't understand faith, all we need is for it to be the size of a mustard seed. Great things happen because of faith.

Faith that is not founded upon reason and the Word of God is fantasy. You are quite correct in saying that two opposing views cannot both be correct. The Bible has many proofs for why it should be trusted above all other books.

And do you have faith that that statement will stand up to scrutiny? Why do some people need to be so long winded ? Personally I have always had a problem with blind faith ( I presently have a suit against me from the Americans with disabilities because of this) Faith need not be blind. In certain ways it can be tested as if using the scientific method. Looking at the data both pro and con. ( being fair in doing so, so as not to bias the research.) Testing it. Does it fit with other truths? Does it makes sense of other things? During times of doubt was what you had faith in able to hold up under scrutiny?

What are you having faith in?
If you have faith in a living God who has the power to create heaven and earth your faith will accomplish something.
You don't "use" faith, you have faith in someone or something.
Scripture says "Faith comes from hearing the Word of God" so don't get off on a path that has no end. Study the Bible and learn who Jesus Christ is, ask Him into your life, study God's Holy Word and the answers will be shown to you.

Now you've done it! I am going to have to actually THINK!! LOL -- At the core of all religious beliefs is God--and no one faith holds ownership of God. Guess we will all have to share! This includes Atheists. Blessings!

Well, people just have to take the risk of being wrong.

It is by faith that you expect to be alive next year, but you really don't know if you will be, so why plan a vacation next year?

Leave that which you have nothing to do with. Do not speak of that which does not concern you, and guard your tongue like you guard your money.
