No where in Scripture did Jesus say "Ask me into year heart." This is a lie straight from the pit of hell.
Jesus commanded us to REPENT. That means to turn from sin to God.
What is sin? Sin is breaking the Ten Commandments. (Ex. 20)
Jesus has appointed a day when He will judge the world in righteousness. When you die you face judgment. (Heb. 9:27)
But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Rev. 21:8
I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Luke 13:3
“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:15
Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3
The perfect example of repentance is found in Psalm 51. Plead with Jesus to save you and give you a new heart. In doing so you will be biblically born again!
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Eph. 2:8-9
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32
**To those of you who said "ask Jesus into your heart" I suggest you read the four gospels again!

It is a very personal experience, but what happened in my life is I was raised in a home with parents that believe; I never knew that personal relationship with God until I was at Biola Bible College with a high school group looking at colleges and there in the Rose of Sharon Chapel, I sat alone and prayed that God will truly fill my heart with His love and transform my life and heart. I am not exaggerating, I could feel His presence and have never looked at life through the same eyes.
I am not a religious nut, I am a believer in God; I feel that I am remiss if I don't share the simple truth that will finally fill those holes of emptiness in your heart; with God you will never be hopeless or alone again. All you have to do is ask......

My relationship with God came at a very young age. My Father died when I was 5 years old and I was led to God. We didn't attend church regularly, however, I was led to God some way, some how. Not really sure how, but my relationship with God has grown so much since then.
You simply have to ask God in your heart and you really have to believe. Have faith that he is listening to your prayers. What some people don't realize when they first accept Jesus Christ and they start praying is that sometimes, just sometimes, there will be unanswered prayers. Not because God is being cruel, but because he's looking out for your best interest. Most of the time we don't realize what a blessing it was until years later. And sometimes when you pray, he does answer you, but not always in a fashion you'd think. Keep asking questions, lots of them, especially in your prayers:-)

I will try and explain this as easily as I can. To become a Christian and be saved- Jesus is ALL you need. You must admit that you are a sinner, confess your sin and repent-and ask Jesus to be your Savior- this is to be saved- however to live the life Christ has for you is a journey- and a process.

My husband and I were KO'd by the Holy Ghost and the rest is history, we are both living for God now. Something was lifted off of our spiritual eyes, because we see the world differently now. Reading the Word comes alive in the spirit. The scripture just jumps off the bible pages and feeds our souls. Also, since the Holy Spirit has taken up residence in our souls, we now have the benefit of conviction to guide our daily life decisions and bring us to a place of repentance. We are grateful for the Holy Spirit and to God for his unconditional love and mercy. Halllejah Jesus!

my relationship with Christ came gradually. i first started questioning Him sometime in high school. and while I was questioning Him, satan started attacking me (little did i know it was satan at the time) so i started to think about asking this one pagan i know to cast a protection spell over me. i also researched wicca somewhat. but right before i started my senior year of high school (summer 2002)i came to to understand that without Jesus I will go to hell. (dont forget i grew up Jewish, so i never once thought of Jesus as more than a man). for a few years i stayed a lukewarm Christian, thinking i did not need church (and acting like the world, aka i got drunk at 19). then i got accepted to UNR (University of Nevada- Reno). so i thought at first maybe i should join a Christian club on campus to meet nice Christian guys (guys were my weakness). gradually my heart started to change, to right before i moved up north to reno, i wanted to join a Christian club to learn more about God. So in january 2005 i moved up to reno and sure enough found a Christian group on campus. and for the next two years i learned what it truly meant to be Christian. i found a home church, with an amazing college ministry. i got baptized January 22 of last year. i stopped thinking abaout pagan religions. i became on fire for God, and still am on fire, even though I moved out of reno now.

The Salvation prayer isn't biblically suffiencient . ..
1. You must be BAPTIZED with water in the TRINITARIAN formula.
2. You must eat of JESUS' flesh.
3. You must keep the commandments.
4. We have forgivness by JESUS in repenting. Which is why we confess.
All this is satisfied in the Sacrements of the HOLY Roman Catholic Church. You yourself must receive grace to overcome. Having faith and making an effort of will to repent.
But the salvation prayer is not Biblical.
LOVE your neighbor as yourself.
Amen.

the real issue is:
accepting Him as your need for a Savior but making Him Lord.
Have you done that yet?
He knocks at the door of your heart, some ignore, others put their headphones on, a few stay asleep.
get to know Him.

Salvation (from the Latin word for "health" - "salus") is not an event...it is a process...it begins when we are Baptized and does not finish until we all face the Final Judgment. The relationship grows...and we receive the grace of God to allow that to happen.
It's nothing we can "do' on our own. That is the whole thrust of Ephesians 2:8-9.
