Terriers in general. Especially Cairn Terriers.

I had one that was just the greatest; he seemed to know what I was thinking. He some of the funniest and most unpredictable behavior I've ever seen. Definitely stubborn and disobedient, just like me. He looked like Toto from The Wizard of Oz, except he was a little larger. He used to sit at my computer like he was really using it. He died last year at about 16; I'd give anything to bring him back.

I'm on my second one, a beautiful little female. She's full of attitude as well. She loves to lick the top of my bald head, it's just comical, and she watches TV. A great watch dog, she barked like crazy once at 3 in the morning; a guy was in my garage trying to steal my car or something.

I work with all kinds of dog breeds but Greyhounds stand out as my favorite breed. They have a wonderful temperament, they are super friendly, gentle, they know how to chill out, are clean and are surprisingly low maintenance dogs. Don't get one if you require a guard dog, they love people! There are many greyhounds that need good homes and adoption comes at a very reasonable price (actually very cheap if you consider that you are getting a purebred dog)...I'd pay 5 times the adoption price just for the privilege of their company! They make wonderful companions, have fewer medical problems than most large breed dogs and have long, healthy lives! I love them!

I've enjoyed my miniature sized Beagle 'Padpaws'. I think the only breed I want from now on is Beagle. I have two other dogs, a Great Pyrenees and a Poodle and I love the Great Pyrenees but he is a very large dog and I just don't think I can handle another dog that size. I definately know I don't want another Poodle. I don't think any other breed of dog can outbark the poodle! Plus, I notice my Poodle has a sneaky streak the Beagle just doesn't have.
So, it's Beagles from now on!

My favorite mix is the multi-mix. I have two adorable, extremely intelligent, funny multi-mixed dogs that everybody loves. There are no other dogs that look...nor bark like them...and their personalities are out of this world. They make great conversation pieces with strangers when we're out walking. We even made the newspaper!

No question-----it's gotta be a miniature schnauzer! They don't shed, they're incredibly smart. They aren't tiny "toys" but a nice medium size which is perfect for apartments. Mine can be a real lovey-dovey sweetheart but she's also a real tom-boy........loves to scope out the yard for vermin, run and jump places that I'd never dream she'd go. Fearless. People that own 'em won't ever consider another breed.

German Shepherd Dog!!!
they r the best dogs ive ever owned...BUT they require a lot of training because they are one of those breeds that have to be controlled because if they get out of hand...they can cause REAL damage...they are couch-potatoes at night but HARD workers whenever u need them!

I have a purebreed dachshund myself, but my favorite mix breed dog is Malamute/German shepherd.
Never fails to make a beautiful, loving and just over all fantastic dog.

Boxers.

Currently I have a pit bull and a pug. The pit bull's a good dog; the pug's the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Nothing can beat a boxer for affection and loyalty, though.

German shepherds.
and huskies, and malamutes.
never had any of them but i have worked with many breeds and mixes at the shelter.
and just about any large mutt...

lest it the lab...i guess because i have seen so many with behavior problems...not that can't be a nice dog...just a bit to hyper for me i guess....even though i have lab mixes but they have soooo many other breeds in them...
