I agree with you in a lot of respects. I think the money should be used for the American people first and if everyone is being taken care of then fine give to some where else. I think we need to put some limits on it. That is one of the reasons we have trouble with our welfare system. There are second, third and sometimes fourth generations on the welfare rolls. I think there should be a time limit where you have to at least show you are trying to get off. If you take a small paying job then you still get some help. If you go say 3 years without trying then you get knocked off for someone else who is willing to work at bettering their lives.

We are a country of refugees who have come here over the ages. The basics of food, clothing and shelter are available to everyone. If you cannot provide for your own food, clothing or shelter there are public agencies that will embrace you and help you with that. An education is a privilege, not a right. If you want an education you can work for it or apply for a grant if your grades are good enough. We are a wealthy country and have an obligation to help the less fortunate. That is simply humanitarian. If a person wants to donate their own hard earned money to help another country they have the right to do that. If I am from the island of Bling Bling and I want to help other Blingies I will do it. That is my right, maybe even my obligation.

I believe that we should help both. God calls us to help all who are in need. We can't forget about those abroad. You can't just make a blanket statement that all missionaries that mission abroad won't help their own country. I am one of those missionaries and have taken multiple trips to help in Haiti, I also helped after the devastation of hurricanes, flooding and many more. I have to tell you that I take offense about your statement of stop worrying about the other couturiers, and I feel that you need a bit more education on what it means to give freely.

in my view, the way our economic equipment is sweet now, I strongly have faith we could desire to shield our very own. (I additionally strongly have faith that different international places will comprehend our doing this.) it particularly is my greatest grievance approximately our u . s .: we are continually so busy giving help to different international places while we've a plethora of families who want nutrition, outfits, shield, coaching and scientific care. it particularly is my concept that our government could grant those issues. i'm ill of all the forms it particularly is spending lots $ on "the conflict on drugs". it's time to get sensible and save a TON of money via legalizing a minimum of marijuana. the government could administration the sell of it and tax it merely like cigarettes and alcohol. and that i firmly have faith that each and each cent of earnings made could pass right into a particular fund it particularly is precisely used for the needs stated above. And to attempt to keep away from as lots fraud as conceivable, the commonplace public could have get admission to to the quantities of salary coming in and how it particularly is being allotted. we are meant to be a democracy. If people might merely start up thinking of others somewhat of purely their own desires, this may be achieved. Granted, it ought to and could take time however the commonplace public desires to call for to be a factor of it. merely my opinion.

Our citizens are not paying attention to the Lord's dictates which indicate that "Charity begins at home and then it spreads abroad." We have representation in this country of people from around the world. If one is partial to a particular group of people because they originated from that base, then they can find fulfillment of that need right here in the United States. Now I believe that we as Americans have shortchanged ourselves by disregarding our people here. Remember this, What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. Peace and God Bless.

no, u definetly are not wrong for feeling this way.it is true!
they probably focus more on other countries bc/ the poor here at least have a fighting chance to help themselves, while govts in other countries have not provided any opportunites for their poor so we feel more aid should be given to them. ppl are trying to pick up the slack of other countries.
we really should focus more on our poor, but i think it is really sad 4 ppl to think of the poor in other coutries that even more worse off, where there are not very laws to protect them. here, we at least have some laws to help the poor. in other countries, they have absolutely no one to help them, not even their govt.
hope i helped!

I'm with you on this. I think that charity begins at home, but I think we should help others too. Maybe people in America have better opportunities to help themselves than people in the third world nations.

Have u been to third world countries before?
People starving in the US are different from those starving in other countries. There are many people in the the US that can give poor americans money but in very poor countries hundreds of people have no food, who can give it to them? certainly not their own people who are starving just like them.

You are wrong to think there is more solution needed as we have many programs that provide food and education to those who want them - we also have many people that just don't want to and we have many people that want to force them to want to by taking away benefits if they don't learn.
In other countries the problem is getting the food in place. In this country food is available within a few miles of anyone who needs it.
If you are really concerned, feel free to volunteer to help with one of the many homeless, jobless, etc. programs.
