He's doing two things--playing with his friend, and proving to his friend that he's the dominant cat in the household. Cats and dogs do this, but you see it in dogs a lot more than you see it in cats.

He's not gay, he's not weird, he's just a cat proving to the other cat that he's #1 in the house when it comes to male cats.

I think what you should do is probably either hire a pet psychologist or play with your cat more, maybe even make or buy a toy. You could also try to keep your cat away from your boyfriend's cat (separate rooms), or if your cat keeps doing what he's doing, then you can squirt him with a water bottle which will tell and alert him that he is doing something wrong. I'm no expert in handling pets, but I think you should probably try what I suggested.

We have a dog, and have play dates with our neighbors dogs often- our neighbors have 2 females and a male. Everyone is fixed...

so who does our male dog love to try and hump? The male of course.

It only happens once they have been running and get wound up some.

I don't know why he does it, but at least your not alone.

:)

Are you absolutley sure he is fixed? My cats (male and female) are siblings and they do those things but i would talk to ur vet...check to see if he is fixed.

he may be asserting his dominance over the other male cat his way of saying "I am the male in charge here"...are you sure he is fixed?
