Jews and Christians do not worship the same God.
Jews worship God. Period.
Christians worship a God they turned into a man, then killed him as a human virgin blood sacrifice for sin, then ate his body and drank his blood to remember him by, then stuck him up on a stick in all their buildings and go through him to get to God. Then they pray to him and worship him. Then they cut his Dad up into 3 parts like a blueberry pie.
See the difference?
EDIT: To Tamil. No, exposing ancient paganism isn't blasphemy. What you believe as a Christian doesn't come from Judaism in any way whatsoever. It didn't "branch off" from Judaism, it branched off from Zoroastrianism, Mithraism, and other ancient pagan religions. Go and educate yourself.

I'm a Christian.
Jesus did not come to abolish Moses' law. Throughout the old testament there were prophecies about the coming of the Messiah(Jesus) so the old testment is just as important.
In it was written that :
IITimothy 3:16-17
16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God [2] may be competent, equipped for every good work.
Remember the words ALL SCRIPTURE(old and new testaments of the Bible).

Christians and Jews do worship the same God who called Himself Jehovah, I am, The God of Abraham, Isiac, and Jacob, and a host of other names. Christianity for all intents and purposes is the fulfillment of the Jewish faith. Jesus died as the perfect sacrifice to purify sins for all time, as a fulfillment of Jewish prophecy and expectation. The problem was that some people were expecting someone... different, and so wouldn't accept Jesus as the savior they'd been waiting for. However the answer is very much yes, Christians and Jews worship the same God.

For the majority of Christianity the belief in Jesus as God is supreme. I personally don't agree with that notion. But Christians and Judaism don't worship the same god in that sense because the Jews are still waiting for the messiah.

Christians worship the same God, Yahweh Elohim. Yahweh Yeshua Messiah.
I love the Lord my God with all my heart soul & strength. Same God of the OT is the God of the NT.
Julia d, That is blasphemy & you should repent before God Almighty before it is too late.

CHRISTianity is judaism in new wineskins. That is we haven't replaced judaism, but we do say the cornerstone which the builders rejected has become the CHIEF CORNERSTONE. JESUS has put new wine in new wineskins.
John 1:10 Â He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
John 1:14 Â And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we saw his glory, the glory as it were of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
GOD was among us . .. but the Jews didn't know it, and rejected GOD . ..
FATHER, SON AND HOLY GHOST ARE ONE GOD.
LOVE your nieghbor as yourself.
Amen.
