Because back then man did not see the world as we see it today, vary little logic and common sense was ever used, in fact I do not think they even new what logic and common sense was, the so called scribes back then were never really educated, so they reacted to superstition and myth, reality was not something they had much knowledge about, seeing the shape of a chariot in the clouds would really set them off, a perfect example of how man sees things and how stories can be stretched out of context, just by interpreting the bible by culture and language changes the original meaning, this is why one should not put to much thought to the bible today.

i do have a past about beliving fiction books i dont know there is a saying (Man will belive anything as long its not writen in the Bible) its hard to say some people do and do not

I don't believe Mein Kampf, Dianetics, Qu'ran etc. as 100 percent truth. You can read any religious book and gain insight into the human condition without believing in the God.

Only book we don't believe???? I don't believe "The Stand" by Stephen King. I don't believe allot of fiction. Well actually I don't believe all fiction. Except for "Blair Witch" that had me going for a couple days.

There are millions of books we don't believe. Most of them, like the bible, are fiction.
