Fear as a motivational tool?
Why think about global warming when you can feel - especially those adrenaline-soaked survival-instinct feelings.
If you are asking whether folks need to fear more, I'd guess that we've already been made to fear too much.

It's becoming a non issue because it got to be too politicized. There's no evidence that humans play any part in "global warming" and there's little evidence that the current climate is anything but normal.
People get turned off and very suspicious when an issue becomes a political tool. I'm just glad most have seen through this hoax.
It didn't take long for everyone to find out that the major players have been lying and changing evidence to support their claim. That's why no one believes anything Gore says anymore. He lied so much on his "movie" that everyone got turned off.
The biggest obstacle for the Gore faithful was to make people who don't understand science believe that greenhouse gasses are bad. The truth is that greenhouse gasses are good because they keep the planet from freezing when the sun goes down each night. But even if they were bad, humans contribute only 3% of the CO2 on the planet and CO2 is only 0.03% of greenhouse gasses.
So even if CO2 were an issue, humans contribute only 0.0009 % towards the problem.
The truth always comes out eventually. It's important we see through these hoaxes before the politicians put all their restrictive taxes into place.

You definately have it right about the democrats. On the Learning Channel. there was a special on the Star Wars movies. It was made for children of course. What I found interesting was that it talked much about the evil empire and the battle between good and evil. Really makes one think.
Some famous media people were interviewed for this program to talk about Star Wars and good and evil. Politicians were also interviewed for this program including Nancy Pelusio. You know what? Not one Republican was interviewed for the program.
What does that tell you? Well first off that Democrats really care about young people because they are in this Star Wars special geared to them. Second, it is quite obvious that the Democrats must be the Force of goodness and that the Republicans are none other then the Evil Empire!
Now, I don't know how many of you out there are stupid or what, but I once went to a latino parade and thought it was going to be a cultural event. Was I surprised when all the guest speakers weren't latino at all, but Democratic candidates. It was a political rally. And I thought I was going to learn something cultural.
Well, I'm not saying that there are a lot of dumb people out there, but this Live Earth event? How come no one is talking about the greatest Show on Earth? It certainly wasn't Al Gore's political rally cause from what I hear nobody showed up.
Well Republicans are also quite stupid and brainless and I laugh at those gullible conservatives as well so don't feel so bad if I think there's a lot of stupidity out there especially believing in Global Warming because the Democrats believe in it.
Why not think we all think for ourselves for a change and not be swayed by some politicians on either side.

Global warming is not a political thing. The earth has been having radical changes in temperature for thousands even millions of years. The ice ages have been proved to have happened many times. It has been recorded that there are cycles of cold then hot weather that happen all the time and people panic without realizing that what we can see happening now is probably just another one of those cycles. Any positive climate change will take hundreds of years, and will go through many short term cycles of the type that science
has shown.

I think the effects will not be as bad as some are saying. No major problems. And I think there is not much we could do about it anyway, because the only way to stop emitting CO2 is to either give up energy and do everything by hand again, including walking everywhere, or invent some new power source, neither of which is likely to happen any time soon.

We shouldn't be instilling fear into people, this leads to irrational behaviour and causes mental anguish. Better to educate people with the known facts and let people know that there are solutions to global warming. There are steps each of us can take to reduce the impact of GW, there are also measures that organisations, governments and scientists can take.
And no, governments don't sway my ideas or thoughts any more than any other second hand source of information does. By the time a government or the media reports on something they could have distorted it to suit their own ends. Better to get the information from source - direct and unedited.

You can post a million links to websites and all those "studies" are sponsored by politicians. It's actually funny, when to prove a point people post links to websites (we all know if something written on a website, it must be true, right?)
Not one independent respected scientist ever said there was any danger in Global Warming. NOT ONE.

Total and complete scam. Global warming happens, so does Global cooling. see- Astronomy 101. Earth is going through same old cycles. If I were to poor a gallon of water into the ocean could you measure the difference? That's a good analogy of how we are affecting the climate

I do not know or care if it is real or a hoax, man-made or natural.
The world can get hotter, freeze over, or stay the same.
Either way, the planet will still be here, things will eventually return to normal, humans will continue to blow eachother up over who's God has a bigger dick, life will go on.
End of story.
