Yes. When we stop reading, we begin to lose touch with His direction for our lives. We are more likely to sin and fall away from Him.

When we distance ourselves from His word, we distance ourselves from Him. Great question; thanks for sharing.

When you do not read the Bible you are missing out on what God has to say to you. He inspired it to be written for our benefit, why would you not want to know the information He has placed here for us to be able to live the best life we can and be the best person we can be.

No, not necessarily. What about prayer, He speaks to me when I pray. Sometimes I don't get a chance to get my bible out everyday and read it. It may show how much we value the bible though. But, the scripture is not the only way He speaks.

What if we read the Bible and misinterpret it in immoral or violent and cruel ways? We need the Church and reason and Apostolic tradition to interpret the Bible correctly in the Grace of God and the Spitit of Love and Truth.

Absolutely not ... but; if you were indeed reading the bible and trying to do what it tells you to do ...

He would call you out of this world ...

Was it not written that our Loving Father is SEEKING AND SEARCHING FOR THOSE ... WHO WILL SEEK HIM IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH????

Most the world lies about reading the bible .and the rest pretends they understand it.

Look at the world today and look again at Matthew 24 and tell me you understood it as you do this very day ...

Peace;

The bible wasn't written by god. The bible was written by men. Messed up men at that. IT IS A FICTIONAL book. F-I-C-T-I-O-N-A-L. If you don't read Spider-Man are you telling Stan Lee you don't care what he thinks. Stan is the Man. And a crazy nice guy. Watch "Who Wants to Be a Superhero" if you don't believe me.

I agree. That's how we receive eyes that see and ears that hear the mysteries that He reveals to those who study His Word.

Yes, I'm sure that's true sometimes. Or perhaps we're afraid of being convicted of our sins.
