‘Christ according to the faith, is the second person in the Trinity, the Father being the first and the holy Ghost the third. Each of these three persons is God. Christ is his own father and his own son. The Holy Ghost is neither father nor son, but both. The son was begotten by the father, but existed before he was begotten--just the same before as after. Christ is just as old as his father, and the father is just as young as his son. The Holy Ghost proceeded form the Father and Son, but was an equal to the Father and Son before he proceeded, that is to say before he existed, but he is of the same age as the other two. Nothing ever was, nothing ever can be more perfectly idiotic and absurd than the dogma of the Trinity.’

He is all good, all the time.
He is in control.
He makes all things work out for the good of those who love Him (even all of the evil that humans create).
He is my all loving friend.
He is my Father in heaven.
He is the Creator of all things.
He is the Redeemer.
He is justice and mercy, all the time
He is patient in His waiting for all to answer His call.
God bless you.

Let me start by saying - salam (peace) to you. It must be very troubling deep within your heart to have this question on your tongue. There is only one God. He did not have a son, and He is not 3 people. If he was a human like us - then he would not be God, and if He was a ghost, then what's the point in scaring everyone into believing his existence. If He really did die on the cross and was god as many say that he was - then who was god at the time of his death and how can god die by the hand of one of his own creation? If God is not the author of confusion then this certainly would bring about some doubt that this belief is not correct. Where is the justice and where is the judgement for the things we do in this lifetime if everyone who is 'saved by the blood' is immune from justice no matter what they do. This belief is not balanced. How can God be the 'father' to His creation. He is not the 'father' - He is the Creator and He is not like any of His Creation, and there is nothing like Him. This brings up another issue that if Adam has no father nor a mother and God created him, why isnt he a son of God as well? I mean this would be more miraculous since there was no mom or dad. Just by looking at the facts there are many things that don't match in the bible.
Don't get me wrong, the bible does hold some truths, but much of it has been altered. There is a christian organization that says there are more than 50,000 contradictions in the bible and have come out with these many versions in an attempt to correct them. The Qur'an has only its original version. There are no other versions, only translations into other languages. It has not been changed.
Let me tell you what Islam says in the Qur'an about who is God and you determine in your heart what is right, and ask God for guidance to show you the proper way to worship Him.
In a chapter of the Qur'an called Al-An'am which is number 6, we see in the following verses (ayat) the description of God. Remember the Qur'an is written more than 1400 years ago, and its original language is Arabic. So this being in English is not the original word of the Qur'an but we do understand its meaning.
93 And who can be more unjust than he who invents a lie against Allah, or says: "I have received inspiration," whereas he is not inspired in anything; and who says, "I will reveal the like of what Allah has revealed." And if you could but see when the Zalimun (polytheists and wrongÂdoers, etc.) are in the agonies of death, while the angels are stretching forth their hands (saying): "Deliver your souls! This day you shall be recompensed with the torment of degradation because of what you used to utter against Allah other than the truth. And you used to reject His Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) with disrespect! "
94 And truly you have come unto Us alone (without wealth, companions or anything else) as We created you the first time. You have left behind you all that which We had bestowed on you. We see not with you your intercessors whom you claimed to be partners with Allah. Now all relations between you and them have been cut off, and all that you used to claim has vanished from you.
95 Verily! It is Allah Who causes the seedÂgrain and the fruitÂstone (like dateÂstone, etc.) to split and sprout. He brings forth the living from the dead, and it is He Who brings forth the dead from the living. Such is Allah, then how are you deluded away from the truth?
96 (He is the) Cleaver of the daybreak. He has appointed the night for resting, and the sun and the moon for reckoning. Such is the measuring of the AllÂMighty, the AllÂKnowing.
97 It is He Who has set the stars for you, so that you may guide your course with their help through the darkness of the land and the sea. We have (indeed) explained in detail Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, Revelations, etc.) for people who know.
98 It is He Who has created you from a single person (Adam), and has given you a place of residing (on the earth or in your mother's wombs) and a place of storage [in the earth (in your graves) or in your father's loins]. Indeed, We have explained in detail Our revelations (this Qur'an) for people who understand.
99 It is He Who sends down water (rain) from the sky, and with it We bring forth vegetation of all kinds, and out of it We bring forth green stalks, from which We bring forth thick clustered grain. And out of the dateÂpalm and its spathe come forth clusters of dates hanging low and near, and gardens of grapes, olives and pomegranates, each similar (in kind) yet different (in variety and taste). Look at their fruits when they begin to bear, and the ripeness thereof. Verily! In these things there are signs for people who believe.
100 Yet, they join the jinns as partners in worship with Allah, though He has created them (the jinns), and they attribute falsely without knowledge sons and daughters to Him. Be He Glorified and Exalted above (all) that they attribute to Him.
101 He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth. How can He have children when He has no wife? He created all things and He is the All-Knower of everything .
102 Such is Allah, your Lord! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshiped but He), the Creator of all things. So worship Him (Alone), and He is the Wakil (Trustee, Disposer of affairs, Guardian, etc.) over all things.
103 No vision can grasp Him, but His Grasp is over all vision. He is the Most Subtle and Courteous, Well ÂAcquainted with all things.
104 Verily, proofs have come to you from your Lord, so whosoever sees, will do so for (the good of) his own self, and whosoever blinds himself, will do so to his own harm, and I (Muhammad ) am not a watcher over you.
105 Thus We explain variously the Verses so that they (the disbelievers) may say: "You have studied (the Books of the people of the Scripture and brought this Qur'an from that)" and that We may make the matter clear for the people who have knowledge.
You can read Qur'an online at http://www.quraan.com/index.aspx?tabindex=1&tabid=27
May God help you in your quest to find who He is. I hope this helps
