They usually have you count backwards from 100. I remember getting to 98. You'll be fine. Put your trust in God. Pray & ask God to guide your surgeon's hands.

it is scary when you don't know what's going to happen isn't it ? they usually start an iv in your arm and they sometimes give you a little plastic piece to sit just in your nostrils that gives you oxygen. its like super fresh air and feels good. then a doctor puts the anesthetic in your iv and you can hold a nurses hand if you want. then before you know it, you hear someone calling your name and saying it's time to wake up, your operation is over! it's just like that. try not to worry, you will be just fine.all the best from Donya

Actually, I have been under at least 4 times and you really dont remember.they usually give you something to make you not care (verset) I think, right before lights out. Dont worry, you will be fine. Being put under is way better than feeling what they are doing too you!!! God Bless

Don't worry. Just relax and breathe normally. When you go to sleep it will be fast. When you wake you may have a hangover type feeling.

Don't be nervous. Most anesthiesiologists are highly skilled professionals who usually don't drink too much before they go to work.
Those that do say it steadies their nerves.
