Here are three things that we should focus on:
Water management. We already have known water problems, and warming will only make it worse, Do a better job at conserving, rain-water recollection, gray-water reclamation on-residence, decrease pollution - especially of endangered aquifers.
Land&Agriculture Management: With changing climate it will be important to maximize land use in the most efficient way possible. Switch to crops more tolerant to the new climate. This will also help in the water management problem. Realize that if there is an abrupt shift towards cooling as was the case during the LIA, then we should make the most use of lands in northern latitudes, reaping the product of rich agricultural lands before glaciation takes it all back. Get at hard to obtain petroleum preserves before they are once again under permafrost.
Alternative energy sources, focusing on renewable. There's no denying that our over-reliance on fossil fuels makes us weaker - politically, economically, you name it. By adopting an energy diet, we can accelerate the deployment of new sources that WILL have a hard time competing with entrenched fossil sources.

If there was a meteor heading towards Earth, not large enough to destroy the planet but enough to cause widespread devastation would it be acceptable for the governments of the world to sit back and say 'yeah, we could deflect it off course but we can't be bothered, we'll deal with the mess when it hits'? Of course, that wouldn't be acceptable.
Would it be acceptable if your doctor said 'I'm sorry, you might have cancer but I can't be bothered treating it, let's wait until it's terminal before worrying about it'? That wouldn't be acceptable either.
We can treat global warming, if we chose not to then we're no better than the incompetent doctor or governments who failed to take action.

we should first do out part as a global citizen by using a "greener" tansport like bicycle. With the decrease of the emission of green house gases from the cars, out world will be a much cooler place to live in. Also, we should plant more trees to decrease the amount of carbon dioxide(one of the green house gases) in the atmosphere. on government's part, they should switch the power station from petro powered to nuclear powered which release mostly water vapour into the air

Global Warming is a people speak - that is to say that it is an economical intrusion into and to give answer to ways of pillaging and raping of ma nature and her resources.
The sun's cycles are of seven years - there are highs and lows - but then how on earth do you get people to pay for it? Tell lies, offer cleaner air and fresher water = all openers to a currupted society. They say crime pays they make sure you do by putting charges on the free stuff like air and no hassles.

Listen, buddy. Humans DO contribute to global warming. HowEver, so do animals! After all, other mammals exhale carbon dioxide, too.
Take your pick:
-live the way we've been living and encounter disaster sooner
-change the way we live and at least put of disaster for more decades

What if it does... What if it doesnt...
Look, we know burning fossil fuels causes poisonous exhaust which create smog, acid rain, cancer and many other relates heal issues (black lung, obesity, etc..).
That we know...
So, why not do what we can to stop that?
Humans have everything to do with those issues...
Why dont we curb our pollution, which as a byproduct would reduce carbon dioxide, thereby helping to stop global warming weather it directly related to us or not.
Seriously people, wake up, its about helping the environment, not about Al Gore or Republicans or Democrats, or librals. The politics just get in the way, the real issue is: Do we continue to kill the environment and hurt ourselves or do we begin to live in harmony with our environment and sustain our future?
Rant over.

Definitely does. we can't just take ourselves out of the equation. our emissions and waste greatly contribute to it if not making it worse and speeding up the entire process. We need to do all we can and at least help out for this impending disaster not to happen. it would be selfish and arrogant of us to just leave this for our future generation to deal with
