I have a business trip for week to Levi, Finland next January. It's north of the Arctic circle and probably going to be around -40 to -36 degrees centigrade.

Since the harshest winter I have to deal with rarely gets below freezing, I doubt that I have the right clothing.

What sort of stuff will I need to get by in that weather?

Plan on layers.
Long underwear, long warm trousers, (not jeans, special winter-sport clothing.)
Fleece jacket over a warm sweater and a wind proof winter-sport jacket over all of that.
For boots you can often take mountain walking boots (I think), otherwise moon-boots or alike.
Mittens and a warm woolly hat.

A lot will depend on wind conditions.
In a strong wind you will loose even more of your own warmth, that far north you will not get much sun, but -40 in the sun, no wind, you can work up a little tan.

But where I live is not that cold, so better ask again if this is the only response.
When you ask again, better ask for info for clothing in sub zero conditions, or Northern Finland in winter, as the name of the town is rather little known.
