Now you may think i'm stupid but i've just watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and i wanted to know if there is a way in which I could erase some things that have hapened in the past out of my mind, does anyone know anything about this?

I think you have painful memories of your past. You want to erase them from your memory. You are not stupid. You can seek professional psychological help. However, try to cope with this by yourself. It happens to all people. Your situation is not unique. Try to distract from your bad memories. You should get very interested in some other things, new work, new love, new hobby, you name it. Your painful memories will come to you not so often. Create your goal, be active. Otherwise, you will be at risk to destroy yourself.Try to start learning something new for you. After a while, you will feel much better.

Probably not. But there are some types of therapy that use techniques to process your memories in a better, more comfortable way. Some of them are, EMDR, rewind techniques, and even dialectical behavioral therapy really helps. you need a liscenced therapist to do this though, or you could end up making it worst.
