Now i have seen many people saying how homosexuality is a choice, or how it has to do with genetics, BUT what about psychology, does psychology play its role? if a boy say was abused by his mom at a young age but found safety with his dad and/or males would that have a affect as well? so could it be that homosexuality as it may not be a choice, but have to do with that persons history and the psychological affects his surroundings have had on him that also might lead to homosexuality?
and my final question lol how can be something that if it is genetic and/or psychological be a sin against this "perfect" god character if it is beyond the control of the human being?

The following passage shows that slaves are clearly property to be bought and sold like livestock.

However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way. (Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT)

In my psychobiology class, I did a paper on the origins of homosexuality. I compared work that said it was biological and work that said it was learned.

While doing this research, I noticed a major change in the psychological community. Before th 1980's, homosexuality was thought to be a learned behavior due to the mother being to nurturing, or being a "mommy's boy." It was even considered a disease in the DSM handbook.

Research that was done after the 1980's, believed homosexuality is biological. But, most of the research is done on homosexual males. There's 2 popular theories right now. One is the fluctuation of prenatal fluid. This fluctuation leads to abnormal growths in the brain. The second is that the region in the brain that is in charge with sexual behavior is different in homosexual men (its similar to heterosexual females).

As for the religion part, I can't help you. I'm agnostic. Hoped this helped you can email me if you have any questions.

I don't think the nurture from nature/nurture thing flies here. Homosexuals come from all walks of life. I know some from very well families and some from not so well families. Upbringing has nothing to do with it.
And, for some I think it is a choice. In the bi, lesbian and gay yahoo answer room the other week I saw a question: "how can I tell my girlfriend I'm not gay anymore?" This indicates to me that for some it is a choice.
And, some are born that way. That's just the way they are. It is not a choice.
To conclude: who is to say what is a sin. God knows every ones heart. A Christian who hates someone for being gay is far worse than someone who is gay with a loving, forgiving, God fearing heart. Who is one to judge when they harbor hate?

Homosexuality (like any sexual orientation) is probably the end result of the INTERACTION of both biological and social forces in a person's life.

Biological forces = flush of sex hormones on the fetal brain or genetics

Social forces = culture, sexual experiences, social experience with males and females, parental upbringing. (An important term to consider here too is "critical periods" during childhood and adolescence.)

It probably is not a choice, whether one believes in the biological theories, the social theories, or the interaction theories.

Homosexuality most likely finds it's roots in alot of factors, some may be gay due to several of these whilst others may be because of just one. The jury is still out, contrary to ever how many reports that have been filed thus far.
Some of these factors may be, but are not limited to, genetic inclination, environment, upbringing, premature exposure to sexual situations, etc...!

No, that has no effect on homosexuality. And who says so? Well, psychologists.

Homosexuality is due to prenatal hormonal exposure to the fetus which causes certain genese to become active. We all have the homosexuality gene (in fact, we have EVERY gene), it all depends on if that particular gene gets "turned on."

So, homosexuals are born that way, and it is not effected at all by outside factors.

The notion that hatred of or abuse by one's mother can lead to homosexuality is pretty silly, but it is the best that the christian perverts can do. How perfect is this god if she blames people for their genes.

Homosexuality is a sin and doesnt matter what caused it. It is a sin and God says to give up sin, and it can be done if a person will dedicate themselves to God doing all He says to do, and avoiding what He says to avoid, and He will give them new desires, His desires, and they will not even want to do any sin anymore, as sin is jsut as reviling to you as it is to God. You things happen to ppl that are bad that will bring this on, thats of the devil too, so you thank him by saying ok I will stay in sin, boy he has aperson there huh? Only when you say no to sin and yes to Jesus do you admit what was done to you should never have been done in the first place. You forgive them , leave them to God and now go on to live yourself a life free of sin, and yes it can be done, with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit thru obedience. If it couldnt be helped it wouldnt be sin. God says it is sin, and it is HE who we hear and obey, not the false scientist that claim its ok, they are the ones that also push evolution on us. God is clear about false science, when it runs contrary to His word , we are to flee from it and run to God.
God wants us to have new hearts that are healing and then to teach others, so they know how to get out of abuse and sin also. Please find victory in Jesus, its the only place you can find it.

A lot of people would agree that homosexuality is caused by incidents in a person's life. Most are wanting love that they didn't have as a child. However, it is still a choice and it still is a sin. We didn't say homosexuality is a sin, God did. The argument is not with us, it is with Him.

Whether homosexuality is a choice or not, it's harmless, so the question should only be of concern to curious biologists.
