You obviously already know the answer to this. Your question is not really a question but a statement.
Yes, The God of the Old Testment commanded various Kings to completely wipe out entire cities (with explicit instructions to kill all living things - including women, children, and animals). Sometimes they did what they were told but sometimes not. In at least one case they killed everyone but kept the animals alive. Sometimes they killed all the men but took the foreign women as spoils of war. So, they didn't always do what God said.
Why did God tell them to do this? That is a much better question. Pretty much all religions have scripture that supports the extermination of ones enemies (christianity, islam, judaism).
Danny N is wrong. We do not live in "Grace" - this is a fallacy. Jesus himself stated that the law is not changed. The law of the Old Testament remains the law today (The Law of Moses). Christians have deceived themselves into believing something that is not true (and is opposite of what was commanded by Jesus).

Oh, big-time! Remember, the men, women, and children (including babies) presumably were the descendants of Adam & Eve. Fundies swear up and down that this was OT stuff and this part of the Holy Bible is defunct, but the billions (there are 6 billion on Earth this very moment) who go to Hell...Christian S&M...will endure eternal 'agony' and pain--NT stuff. Ain't fundamentalist Christianity just a load of fun? Happily, all that stuff is only fantasy, fiction, rather unimaginative fairytale.

Maybe you should read it and form your own opinion, rather than letting someone on here tell you if it's true or not.
I don't mean that in a rude way, not at all. I just think with such a serious question you should seek serious answers.
Read the Old Testament and figure out what YOU think it says and means.

Yes He did. Why do you ask? Do you think that He doesn't have the right to decide which one of his creatures lives or dies?
Romans 9:20 But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, "Why have you made me like this?"
21 Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honored use and another for dishonorable use? 22 What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, 23 in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory-- 24 even us whom he has called, not from the Jews only but also from the Gentiles?

That was when God had chosen people. Thats OLD testament, thats the Law. Now we live in grace, and God no longer punishes us. If you actually had any kinda faith you would understand that it wasnt so much "i want to kill everyone there because i can" as " i need to protect my children from the evil of those people".
Just like any father would kill to defend his children, so did God.
As for all people "quoting" the bible, please actually quote and dont just recall from memory, you might just be getting it wrong.

ok, however the God of the hot testomony isn't an analogous with the God of the previous testomony..?? real believers in God do no longer kill, purely devil believers kill..!! God do no longer command a factor like that..on no account..! If He desires to take a soul to Him, He take it widowed no permission and no help..!

Yes He did. Consider yourself lest you also are taken. And He is the God of the New Testament as well. So don't be on the wrong side of the argument.

Yes, in many cases. In others he commanded them to keep the women and children alive- the children for slaves and the women, presumably, to rape.
