Because they find out everything on this earth is vanity
Smartness, violence and all that looks charnel are vanity; they will all pass away with this world.
When they’ll all pass and leave you empty handed, you’ll cry had I known!

You could say the same about just about anybody, whether religious or not. We all believe stupid things sometimes. If a princess kisses a frog and it turns into a prince, that's a fairy tale. If the frog turns into the prince over millions of years, that's science. Go figure. I am a "religionist." I don't buy evolution but I can understand why you would think I was crazy. I used to think Christians were crazy too. That included both my parents and many close friends. I don't think that anymore. They're right.

What? I'm gullible? Oh dear! I should really work on that!
Heh.
I know some Atheists who are a lot more gullible than I am. They believe in Bigfoot, Aliens, and that over time, raptors can magically transform into chickens.

I think it's cause they are trained mentally to look for the good in everything -and you know how when you're a pretty good person, you think everyone is like you. Which is SO WRONG. There IS EVIL in this world too, and religions need to address that too. Make their followers aware of it. Otherwise you WILL get taken advantage of, used and abused, cheated and lied to -and still swear that it's not happening?!!! Bless their sweet hearts!!!

Gee I'm glad you explained yourself, because otherwise I would have thought you were just being rude, trying to stir up something, and acting like a troll.

That is a blanket statement. Try not to generalize. Not all religious people are gullible.

not sure how that won't be perceived as rude........but!
some of them don't have any critical thinking skills. they just accept what their parents have raised them to believe, & that's enough for them to be content.
others just really want to hold on to their faith, & so they're not really gullible. they might actually be quite smart. but they want to have that cushion of hope, & so they just ignore anything that goes against their faith.

I used to be like that!
Believe bout' anything after I was Born-Again.
Then, I went to this meeting (church building) and this Stranger tapped me on the Shoulder and said "GOD told me to give you some Tapes (long ago, not CD's)" and my Journey Began in Earnest AND TRUTH too!!!
Ditto. Thanky Jesus!

Yeah, right.
That question sounds rude to me.
It will surely stir stuff up.
Have a nice evening!
I'll say something nice.
Your braids are pretty, Julia.
Now you
