Unconditional love -- that's what it's all about. The minute we begin putting limits and restrictions on it, we lose it. I am a complete, absolute believer in the power of unconditional love. You don't bomb people you love. You don't avert your eyes from the homeless person if you love him. You cannot ignore suffering if you love those who suffer. You do not steal from those you love and you do not pollute their water and air.
This constipated insistence on putting conditions on love -- you must look like me, act like me, think like me, and I've got to get a look at you first to make sure -- is what poisons the world.
So keep right on hugging and loving, sweetie. You've got it right.
(((((((PANGEL))))))))))
And yes, I love you too.

I don't think there is anything wrong with it at all. I love you also. You gotta understand that you create your thoughts, kind of like an artist, while so many people do not even know where what they think comes from. You are living in the here and now, while they are on automatic. You are free and they are automatons. Don't get upset when dealing with machine-like people. Be yourself. It is good for the world for there to be folks like you.
Peace....

Gnostic, I agree. there is simply NOT enough LOVE on this World. In my 57 years in this lifetime, and in ALL the places that I've EVER been (which is a LOT) the ONE thing that I have ALWAYS found to be TRUE, EVERYWHERE, is this.
The tiniest bit of HATRED is WAY too much hate in the World. Yet, no matter how MUCH LOVE their is, there is NEVER TOO much of it.
Poor Julie seems to have never gotten her share of love and I think she needs a litle bit of extra. So Julie.... HERE"S a whole LOT of LOVIN for you (((((((Julie))))))).
You know, Gnostic, I think we MAY have hit on something here. If we just target ONE person at a time and whip a whole lot of LOVE on them, they just MIGHT LEARN what the concept of unconditional love is all about and maybe even, try it for themselves. What do ya think?
Brightest Blessings and LOVE,

Honestly and not to be rude....but yeah random people who I have never met declaring that they love me makes me a bit creeped out. Sorry Pangel, but I don't love you...I don't know you well enough to. I can't love someone who I don't really know, its impossible.
No, love is not a bad thing. Love is not harmful. But the concept of loving everyone equally, I think is unnatural and unhealthy. We are denied our natural emotions of hatred and anger -- emotions which are often very justified -- and told that we must love everyone equally. We are to love Hitler the same as we love our children; to love Charles Manson just as we love our parents. This is not natural at all in my view. Some people are more special to us than others: our families are precious to us in a way that our political leaders never will be. Why should we be forced to "dilute" our feelings so that the child molester down the street is as beloved to us as our child himself? This is a mockery, in my opinion, of our natural emotional schema, and something that while not immediately harmful, causes a lot of problems as a person develops relationships in life.
What exactly is love, when it is nothing special? What is "I love you" worth, when it is said all the time? Just as printing excessive money lowers the value until it is worthless, so does loving everyone lessen the power of love itself.

You CAN have TOO much of anything...and there is such a thing as sickeningly sweet, mushy 'love' out there! Especially some of the movies and songs...give me a frigging break...:)

Love in its generic form, unrelated to theistic doctrine, is the Cosmic Force, I suggest. Your concept is lovely, not in the least nauseating. We tend to withdraw from the concept because too much emotion is entangled within Love. Because we are motal, we recoil from Love which implies loss in that nothing is eternal in the mundane world. Regardless, it is Love's antithesis which is responsible for terrorism and the possibility of the destruction of our world. There can never be too much Love in the world. Thanks for your question, Pangel!

Aww, no it doesn't make me feel sick - perhaps whoever found it sickening just had an unloved childhood and doesn't know how to react to a little TLC?

No, it doesn't make me sick....
It just makes me wonder how someone could genuinely LOVE so many absolute strangers.
By the way, it's weird to see a green border around your avatar when I'm viewing through Yahoo! UK. I'm so used to seeing a green border around mine... of course that's because I view just "Yahoo!".
