It is UK slang for a pound (aka dollar).

A quid is £1 if you're British, or if you're Irish €1

Apparently it comes from the fact that there was a royal mint at Quidhampton in Wiltshire.

its a pound sterling in the UK followed by about 35 % deduction for tax .and 17.5 % deduction for vat or VAT.
followed by a reduction in wage for not working like a snigger.. and of course the 25% for working voluntarily .

The rest goes to an AGENT..lol..
