Already have started 1 1/2 years ago. First I am on the Decontamination team at the VA Hospital where I work. This is set up for any kind of biological attack. We do training on the proper ways of "suiting" up in a rather bulky, cumbersome airtight suit as well on training on how to take off the suite, work with the VA police, have a route where individuals must follow or they are not allowed into the Hospital (due to keeping contamination out). Then went through the local Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) for a 7 night 3 hours per night exercises from cribbing, search and rescue, triage, transport of injured etc. this is funded by Homeland Security. Further went on to become an instructor and have everything at home ready to go in case of natural disaster. We live in an area where 3 major fault lines are within approximately 15 miles apart. First and foremost..... SAFETY FIRST!!! One is no good to others if you put yourself in danger and are in-fact injured yourself! We train for Fire, Floods and Earthquakes (these are the 3 in our area of concern). If we are deployed - the local chapter we are in provides Life insurance and Workers Comp for you if you are injured. All said and done - Have plenty of water stored at your house, food, a plan for shelter in place, and a meeting place for your loved ones in case you are separated - So - 1. Protect yourself 2.Protect your families 3.Check on your neighbors - then 4. Meet at the EOC (Emergency Operations Center) to help where you are needed. Great Question!! Glad you are interested and more awareness is needed!! P.S. Live in Southern California..already been through 4 major earthquakes including the center of Loma Prieta Quake in Los Gatos. Glad to help S-Cat!!!! Los Gatos is south of San Fransisco..have a good weekend !!!!

I think I'd really love to get my hands dirty helping people clean up their houses afterward. Even if they lost their home, they often still have to stift through the rubble to see if they can find anything worth saving. I'd really like to be a part of that, just because I think when someone has to do something like that, they need all the suppor they can get.

i myself get excitement from the emotional veil being lifted by J.ok.Gandesbery. He shares plenty approximately what it’s want to help others and to witness and stay the marvel of organic disaster. He tells of being with people who choose you on the worst time of their lives. It’s a short tale referred to as Missioning. It’s contained in the e book of Jack. He even builds us some new American heroes to have confidence in in this e book. think of a super hero like James Bond, it incredibly is a guy of God. I enjoyed it deeply; it has inspired me to help others. he's deep yet you’ll like it I promise.

I could do anything. I'd clean bathrooms, I'd pass out sandwiches, I'd direct traffic, I'd fold clothes and pass them out, and I'm an experienced cook for large numbers (500). I could help people navigate on computer programs to apply for assistance or find a loved one. I could just sit and listen to their stories.

I would volunteer as a sniper, assigned the task of shooting dead on sight Bono, Sting, Bob Geldof or any other santimonious multi-millionaire rock star who turned up to ponce some free publicity.
