It all depends on the individual person and their likes and dislikes towards drivers.
Imo, there are a few drivers who can be easily classified as "The Best Driver".

i would have to say the late great Dale sr. 7 cup titles n 4 iroc.no one else has that in nascar.but of todays drivers thr are some real good drivers but it is a pick between jeff or smoke.

Best of all time you did not specify, if I had to pick just one i would have to say Richard Petty of Dale Sr. is hard to pick just one. LOL but if you are talking driver now.. I would have to say whoever is highest in points at the time is usually the best that year. Everyone has their years and doesnt have thier years.
