How arrogant is it for you to pose a question like that on a forum that, in theory, is accessible to every person on the planet? Do you really expect a coherent answer? Or would that be the job of, say, God?

Well, I do not consider myself a religious person, nor do i claim to be a part of the christian faith.
With that out of the way, I think that it is not arrogant to keep a concious contact with my creator. All I have to do is seek guidance, humbly, may I add, and then have faith that all is as it should be. That, my friend, does not require a superiority complex...only a small amount of faith.
I believe that it is you who would be arrogant, for asking such a question in the first place. So who is suffering from the superiority complex now, ehhh?

It wasn't our idea. It's what the Bible says.
How arrogant do you have to be to claim that all Christians are liars. After all you know everything, and you know that God wouldn't want anything to do with the people he CREATED. What a silly idea.
Besides, if we said that God doesn't have a personal relation ship with us you would just be accusing him of being cruel for abandoning his creation.
Believing you have a personal relationship with the God of the universe is humbling, not arrogant. The creator of the cares about us even though we did nothing to deserve it.
You, on the other hand, are participating in the "religion and spirituality" section, even though you clearly have no interest in either other than to harass those that do. This behavior is motivated by the belief that you know everything.

It's not very different from saying we have a relationship with our earthly father. Even though God is the God of the Universe, He still WANTS to have an individual, personal relationship with each of His children. A 'superiority' complex would be if we felt we didn't NEED the relationship.

No sir, you are wrong. When we will live as Jesus said to live, as He lived, we will be born again and having such a one on one relationship with Him, that He begins to reveal things to Us more and more. This isnt arrogance. ITs just what God says for us to do, but few do it.
We arent superior to anyone, God says we are all created equal, but some will surely want to know God even more, and when you do, it will happen. YOu get so close to Him that He is on your mind all the time, and you do nothing without asking Him first.
But the devil doesnt want us to know that, he says the gospel is too hard to keep, and to give up, or he says there is no gospel, whatever it takes to get us to his level.
We are to rise above all that and just do what God says, and when we do we are blessed.
Being in personal one on one relationship with God, where we know Him intimately as HE knows us, is the only way to go. ITs called being truly born again. Born of the spirit of the living God, not the devil that seeks to destroy and confuse any way he can. YOu think this way, cuz you dont KNOW yet, but I pray one day you will. God bless you , seek and ye shall find and all will be added unto you. amen

On the contrary, it takes humility and respect to realize that we are inferior to Him and that no matter how much good we do, we will still have fallen short of His glory. To desire a friendship and a kinship with the Lord is simply following God's Word. We submit to His will, even though we may not understand it sometimes.
I am sorry that you feel that way, and I hope that someday you will be able to comprehend just how much God has done for you.

as arrogant as me I guess. I don't think I'm superior to you because of it though. It was something that God graciously granted me and wants to grant you too according to the Bible. If you'll simply accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, by that action, you begin a personal relationship with the God of the universe. It's pretty cool. I hope you'll do that some day.

For the unredeemed guy or woman, sure you're top - it is a ludicrous concept that they can't get their minds around. "conceited" is the be conscious it is often utilized via the nonspiritual techniques. humorous that, because of the fact it means that guy is intellectually and morally greater suitable to the God that did the starting to be interior the 1st place and that top there is the epitome of human conceitedness.

Sounds like the questioner is jealous...
Christians do say that you too can have a personal relationship with the god of the universe... they don't limit it to just them (unless you don't want to be a Christian, that it)
Whatever.
May you be personally touched by the Flying Spaghetti Monster's noodlely appendage, in a very meaningful and intimate way. RAmen.

It is more like being humble and willing to give honor and praise where it is due and that is to God .It is so hard to believe that mankind was greated by God and not by accident.Want proof?Take a deep breath and thank God.He loves you and always will just not some of our ways.Call on Jesus he can forgive.God bless you.
