That's why I don't hang out in here. I just drop in for visits from time to time. Just as soon as I feel my intelligence start to dwindle I stay away for a few weeks.
You're right... it's very hard to find real questions/answers in here because everyone else is more worried about who they can belittle with their religion or lack thereof. I believe that is what is draining our intelligence while we're here..... we're seeing people act like neanderthals and have started regress because of it.

To encourage participation and reward great answers, Yahoo! Answers has a system of points and levels. The number of points you get depends on the specific action you take. The points table below summarizes the point values for different actions. While you can't use points to buy or redeem anything, they do allow everyone to recognize how active and helpful you've been. (And they give you another excuse to brag to your friends.) Points Table Action Points Begin participating on Yahoo! Actually, if you didn't start learning that full detailed answers are wasted on so many of these questions, I'd say that would point to a dip in your I.Q. not the other way around.
The same thing happened to me. The questions and questioners seem to have gotten dumber as time went on, so I stopped bothering to give a good answer to any but the good questions. It's based on an accurate understanding of this site's environment, not a sign that we've gotten dumber.

The problem is trying to find "real questions" in the first place. There's so much other rubbish you have to sift through that by the time you get to an honest, legit question, the retards who have bombarded you with nonsense have succeeded in depleting your active brain activity for the day.
No, you're not the only one.

Maybe, but as long as you had fun, wasn't it worth it?
And I've found just the opposite, because there have been times when I've had to look for the answers to some questions.

You may have lost depth, but surely the experience has broadened your mind?
The overall volume may therefore be about the same, or even greater!

Oh the points thing is just dumb. I don't even know or care what it means! It is true that Y!A might not be very good for your brain... Still, my English is improving wonders...

Likely... That's why I drink instead of answering some times... it kills less brain cells.
