Ohhh, GORGEOUS song!

"And who knows which is which and who is who
Up and down
And in the end it's only round and round and round."

Reading it is even more moving. Thank you. I think it's a brilliant portrayal of war and the awful training our troops receive in regards to location - deserts and jungles and other awful areas where it becomes impossible to distinguish the ally from the enemy. For me it always fit Vietnam more than WWII and, unfortunately, the tone of the lyrics holds ever more true today.

Us & them indeed.

he wept going down the steps
the tears were his to take.
And the General sat, staring at the lines on the map
because jesus is nothing but a fake.
