Ok I am getting my period soon and I am craving nothing but sweets! Yesterday I almost ate a whole box of red vines and about 9 double chocolate Milano cookies. I am trying not to go get some junk right now, I try not to keep any in the house, but I know that my cravings will get the best of me! So I am thinking of heading out to the nearest store. I just wanted to know what you guys crave and how do you keep from binging? I am usually a healthy eater except for this time of the month. Are there any snacks that are not too high in fat or cals? I know it would be too good to be true! I will try eating fruit but right now let me tell you I need chocolate or I will get cranky! Help!

I don't know about the wine and salty stuff, I am not a drinker so this won't work for me sorry! I think I'm just going to give in and get some dingdongs or something. You guys are taking too long to answer! See ya later!

ok got another box of red vines, because hey they are fat free. Although if you eat the whole box the calories add up. Also got some chocolate covered pretzels they are in the freezer getting nice and cold! Ah and some ding dongs! I feel like Homer Simpson right now mmmmmmmmmmmmmm ding dongs.

I am here to warn you not to satisfy your cravings for chocolate and red vines by eating whole bags of "diet" candy. Whatever they sweeten them with is very effective as a laxative. Trust me, I know. First, your intestines make this "gurgling" noise, and then we won't talk about what happens. Been there, done that.

I'm telling you, I've had some of the strangest cravings. It's just your body's way of saying "I need this particular nutrient, and it just happens to be in chocolate Milano cookies. Get some now!" I've craved DIRT before, but of course I didn't follow through with actually pacifying it. The best way to deal with it is to just avoid it all together. If you're craving chocolate and you know you're going to binge, just don't eat any until you think you can handle eating it without going overboard. Eat some carrots, peanut butter, you know, something healthy along with a glass of water. Then see how you do from there.

Well if you eat healthy the rest of the month a couple days of sweets and extra food shouldn't do too much harm. I personally love anything chocolate. But then again at that time any food is good. I don't just get snacks, i make myself entire meals! Try Fruit Snacks, ever heard of those? They taste good and taste like candy except they're healthy! Eat ANYTHING cuz a couple days of junk food won't do any harm.

I am not really generally big on sweets so for me its meat wine and salty cravings. All of which just help the process along. The protein and the wine are just what my body needs to get it all going. I also drink a product by Yogi Teas that is specific for periods and pms. It is a delicious tea and it helps with all the symptoms. Try it out instead of the junk food and see how you like it!

I always crave chocolate when I am on my period and no one better stand in my way of getting some, lol. It is completely natural, just give into it once a month and eat healthy the rest of the month. You'll be fine.
