WOW... 15. People change a lot when they're young. Even early 20's is too young. Ask her this, how can you really know at age 15 that this is the person you want to spend the rest of your life with? And tell her that as your friend, you are just being concerned. Isn't there an age there? Here it's 18 otherwise they need adult consent. Don't tell her you're against it or she will be mad at you -- just word it in a way that lets her know you're looking out for her best interest.

Say something because this girl is making a very big mistake that she will be paying for for the rest of her life. At 15 she has no idea what the committment she is agreeing to actually means. She is not old enough to understand what will be required of her once she marries. I am not talking about sex here although that is a factor but she will never get the chance to live a life of her own, she will never have a chance to explore and find her true life mate and she will never fullfill the promise that awaits her int he future. In 10 years she will be a totally different person in a totally different place in life and what seems like a wonderful idea at 15 is going to be a soul eating trap by 25. If you can stop this do try and stop it. She might not thank you , she might not speak to you again, but you can rest assured that you saved someone from themselves and gave them back their life.

Since getting engaged isn't a legal standing she can do what she wants. Don't worry about it. The relationship will go belly up within a few months to a year.

Holy crap, if I had a nickel for every time one of my kids got 'engaged' I would be rich!!

Let it ride, she'll figure it out, until then, she probably thinks it's pretty cool to run around at 15 telling people she's engaged, makes her feel older....

Unless her parents are stupid, she'll have to wait 3 years anyway, and she'll probably break up with him, or he'll dump her in the meantime.

Tell her to dump the guy and start smoking. Smoking makes you look older. *nod*
