Yes, the last time I flew, which was back in February, I brought extra batteries for my mp3 player in my carry on bag and there was no problems with it.

Why wouldn't you be allowed to bring batteries and what would it matter what they were actually for? Batteries have never been on TSA's prohibited items list to the best of my knowledge.

yepparoos! you just cant bring containers of liquid over 30 ounces and u cant bring a whole bunch of little containers.
