it is not only for criminals, many people are getting it for medical reasons.

You mean the RFID tag? Nah, I think I'll pass. I don't need someone I don't even know keeping track of me. Some one said, "You aren't your credit report, you are a spiritual being." (That saying goes for that too) I tend to agree. In 2009, all of the creeping things (from ducks to cow) on your land will have to be tagged, if not, confiscated. That is the projection, by the FDA, and they are now on target.
And Kerilyn, Hospitals are doing it now too, with or without your permission, curtesy of the FDA.
Too many computer viruses and other nasties. I don't trust anyone that wants to intrude into my body, esp. someone I don't know, licensed or not. (The FDA is not to be trusted. Millions are suffering because of them right now.) MY big brother CARES about me. I don't know about you, but, when someone claims, "It's for your own good," I think twice.

with the state of the world today. i have no intention of allowing anyone to attach an electronic device to me that could be used to track me anywhere that i go. I know that they can track my car, and my cell phone thgouth GPS. but i can leave thoes things behind if i need to. there are countless reasons why it is a bad idea to attach electronic devices to yourself, or to be "chipped". to me the main one is that it prevents any form of rebellion. because the rebels would be easy to track down. and before people start calling me anti-government or anti-american. remember that America was founded by rebels. imagine what would have happened if King Gerorge would have been able to track with pinpoint accuracy where the "Patriot" leaders were hiding at in the early days of the revolutionary war?
i simply see chips like this as a form of social control.

Why can't the conspiracy theorists understand that Rome was the end of the world? They conquered all known areas and forced their world wide currency on people. They marked their slaves and people with the same mark. The antichrist aka the beast aka Roman Emperorn Nero was the one who killed Christians by the boat load, along with the Jews.
That is why they wrote about it.

It's not the Mark of the Beast. It's a bad idea for reasons wholly irrelevant to religion.
The mark of the beast will involve a very conscious decision to deny Christ or not. It won't sneak up and yell 'gothcha!'
