It doesn't matter if you were driving or not, the Volvo is an interference engine. Your valves are history and there may be other damage as well.

You have at least 4 valves bent,if not all.The Volvo twin cam engine has extremely close tolerances

yes they are bent
best bet for repair is at volvo dealer however good used engines [out of wrecks] are reasonabley priced and a possible alternitive

If the car was not running it will be fine once you replace it. But I don't know how you would know that it broke if it wasn't running.
