For there to be a path there needs to be someone to walk it, is it safe for the walker to be on a spiritual path?

Is it in any way 'safe' to live life???
But.
ANY life liven is a spiritual lived life - and so - also a spiritual 'path' ( path to what??? Somewhat I think that most of the 'spiritual' seekers have misunderstood everything -there is nowhere to go and therefore no path that leads there)

It is not about being safe it is about letting go and being willing to see our own personal flaws and then having the courage and faith it takes to change. Which means it is sometimes painful and knowing that makes it scary. I don't get the safety thing. It is not unsafe to be spiritual. Racing on a bicycle is unsafe, seeking the spirit and will of God for myself has never put me at risk.
Before I knew the Lord and thought He was like a lot of judgmental people we all encounter I was afraid all the time but once I realized God's desire to be my friend and spend time with me then I realized there was nothing to fear. I mean if He is for who can be against me. What I mean is things have a way of working out. You know this too shall pass.

The spiritual path is completely safe... .
From a Buddhist perspective, one cannot fail to reach the objective (eventually). So where is the danger? From a Christian perspective....
Philip. 4: 13
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Where is the danger?
A spiritual path requires the leap of faith... which only SEEMS dangerous, but is actually as safe as a child jumping from a table into the loving arms of a close and attentive parent.

Many people believe that the only safe path is a spiritual one. Many spiritual philosophies believe in life after death and offer a path to that redemption through their concept of spirituality to ultimate safety.

Hi!
Many years ago, I was asked by a friend who was diagnosed with schizophrenia to visit an ashram where he hoped to be admitted as a novice, but which he feared was compounding his condition.
Students sat cross-legged in a minimalist room awaiting the great oracle, who arrived in due course and, after a short ritual, opined:
"There is a golden pole to heaven up which we must climb .."
"Does this pole have nails to cling to as life has hardships to help us grow?" I asked.
We entered into a discussion that concluded when he told me that the way he followed had made him pure in mind, body and soul.
"Then why do you have acne?" I asked.
My friend had a moment of satori and was freed from the spell. He learned to taste the tea again and went on to harness his hallucinations in making video's for pop singers. Some of the students asked me to form my own temple (which I declined to do of course). What I really needed was a good thwacking.
Good wishes.

Seeking a way out of suffering is the beginning.
If a path "feels" safe, you haven't begun the journey.
The end of the journey is to discover yourSelf safely where you began.

No, if it's 'safe', it's 'sorry'.
Look at this way, even sluurrping on a cuo or two of tea has a risk attached, have you ever seen someone fall into their cuo, and they couldn't get out ? It's a ghastly way to go. But some would call that a path.

what is safe ? you should ask yourself ! ! is it a stroll in a forest along a muddy path (where a tree might fall on you or a bear might attack you ) or a stroll on a built pavement in a busy city centre (where a building or a car might fall on you ).... inotherwards no path is safe , we might all be in the path of a huge meteor tommorrow and be able to do nothing about it , is it fait ? is it reality ? is it history repeating itself or somekind of dream that can be metaphorically translated in some way ? either way the future lies in your beliefs and conceptions positive or negative , life is how you make it and you MAY only live once YOU ARE HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT YOURSELF! So forget questioning your negative thoughts and realize that Loving and accepting ourselves is THE MOST CRITICAL FACTOR in experiencing joy, happiness, and success in life. When you really love yourself and you really love other people, you find that life is really an incredible journey where things flow, and no matter what happens you always find a way to enjoy yourself and you feel fulfilled. You MUST love yourself completely. This determines your STANDARDS for what you are willing to accept or settle for. It determines how well you treat your body and your health, how much money you feel you deserve to earn or feel you can make, your belief in whether you can achieve your goals, how much others respect you and how they treat you, and even whether people like you and want to be around you. People love being around confident people. You see, confident people do not feel the need to judge you or tear you down in order to elevate their own self-worth. They radiate a positive energy. You feel safe around them. You need to consistently and confidently take action to move towards your goals, and towards your ultimate destiny. People who lack in confidence often get ‘stuck’. So you see, your entire DESTINY is shaped by your degree of confidence.
True self-confidence comes from an absolute sense of certainty deep within, that you are able to handle anything life throws your way. Truly confident people exude calm, control, power, certainty. They care about people, and they make people feel good when they are around them. They never brag – after all, actions speak louder than words. People who brag are just masking their insecurities.
People have varying degrees of confidence depending on what activity they are performing. For example, someone might be totally confident in performing a piano concert, or driving a car, but feel totally inadequate at a new job they’ve started, or at flirting with members of the opposite sex.
People with Total Self-Confidence, though, have complete belief in themselves. They never ask themselves “Can I really do this? What if this doesn’t work out? Am I good enough to pull it off?” They know that if they really want something, and they are committed to getting it, it will happen. They know that it’s just a question of time until they’ve mastered the skills and knowledge to make whatever they want a reality , you too can do this if you beleive in what you can achieve before its too late

Spiritual path+s = Self-confidence and personal growth which rely strongly on our capability to face problems and solve them. You can’t develop your character or become a better person without adversity or challenges. They are the gymnasium where you sculpt your character! And by developing our character we become stronger, more efficient, happier people. You need adversity and challenges! When adversity arises, dealing with it actually increases our intelligence and skill as well our self-confidence. On the other hand, if we don’t get on top of our challenges, but let them get on top of us, our self-confidence will drop. By keeping cool and refusing to let a challenge overwhelm us, and by dealing effectively with the inevitable problems that arise in life, we grow stronger and our self-confidence increases. As we deal with each setback we become more and more self-assured, and as a result we deal with the next problem more effectively.
Next time a ‘problem’ shows up, welcome it! Get excited! It’s another opportunity for you to rise to the challenge and grow and expand yourself+s and realise your path in life spiritual or mental xxxxxxxxx
