Any info and experiences would be greatly appreciated. I'm the mother of four sons under the age of 6 and a half so I need all the help I can get!

Dexidrine is a medication usedto treat ADD/ADHD but most doctors are relunctent to prescribe it b/c it is highly addictive and can be abused very easily. I have ADHD and am 35 years old. I wasn't diagnosed until college so I can understand some of what you may be going through. You need to get tested to make sure you have ADD and if you do you should research how antidepressants interact with ADD medication. Some of them can interfer with each other resulting in both of them not working. Good luck!

Yes, I have both. I have found that taking Dexidrine Spansule helps with my AD/HD in addition to helping with my depression.

Dexedrine is an amphetamine it will definitely light your fire. Also known as mothers little helper.

If you want something a little milder there is time release Ritalin, branded variously. One brand is called Methylin.

Another, novel stimulant used in ADD in Provigil, it is unrelated to amphetamines and nonhabit forming. Initially it was used for treating narcolepsy, people who fall asleep at inappropriate times.

Another even more mild way to go would be to add Wellbutrin, an antidepressant that is somewhat stimulating.
