I recently met a girl, (same girl as in all my other posts) who says that -

"by the scriptures, the first man on earth ADAM, was God in the flesh, before he Sinned"

my question is, what scriptures state this? And Does it say in ANY bible that Adam was GOD himself on earth?

Or are the people who state such things - LOST AND MISTAKEN?

All experts on the bible and scriptures i love to hear from as always! Thanks to all who respond!

God said let us go down and we will create man in our own image, male and female. Adam was the first man and woman followed so that man could have a help mete or companion. The idea that Adam was God comes from modern revelation indicating that Christ, under direction from His Father, Elohim, created this earth and all things thereon and was assisted in this work by Michael, the archangel. We have been told that Michael became Adam. Thus, Adam assisted in the creation of the earth, a godly function, but no, that does not make him the object of our worship. Adam was a mortal with the special purpose of starting God's family here on earth. I am sure that he was welcomed back into God's presence when his mortality was over and will receive an appropriate reward in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Adam was not God in the flesh..he walked with God in the garden..if God would have sinned it would have been against himself and he would have distroyed himself by it immeditaly...God is truth and cannot lie... there were men on earth before adam, but adam was the first man that God put his spirit into..the word adam means one God...and eve was named eve by adam not God when he called for adam they both came..and the sin was not eves..but adams..she was decieved..he wasnt...he knew he was doing wrong. And yes people have some way out there thinking when it comes to the Bible and the truth...they are lost..they are mistaken...hope it helps

Adam was created in the image and likeness of God... but He was not God in the flesh... The only God - Man was Christ Jesus... the scripture does not support this teaching, however there is a whole lot more that God has for Man...

Adam isn't God, God created Adam as the first human living on Earth

In Genesis chapter 2 God made Adam out of dirt. Obviously Adam was not God. However there were people created in before Adam in chapter 1 of Genesis so Adam was not the first man. Check it out.

As a Catholic, i could desire to assert that there are merely some people in this talk board who somewhat comprehend what the be conscious evolution particularly ability. Evolution is there, it exists, and we proceed to adapt merely as the different dwelling creature on the earth does. people are no longer 'exempt' from evolution because of the fact we are the only species that has a ethical experience.

The story of Adam and Eve is psychological metaphor - Adam representing the rational/reasoning aspect of mind and Eve the creator aspect of consciousness. The famous story of their shame and banishment from the garden (heaven) is a perfect description of the beginning of the shamed defensive ego that separates us from the experience of "eternal aliveness."

Adam couldn't be God since he was created. God wasn't created. It states nowhere that he was. Also, if God was created, he wouldn't be God; whoever created him would be.... Also, is she trying to say there's more than one god?

She may be a Mormon.
