I asked this of Christians and couldn't seem to get an honest answer.
Am I correct in assuming that to the Christian, knowledge found outside the Christian Bible is only permissible if it doesn't contradict scripture?

I am a Christian. Lets see Knowledge found outside the Bible is only permissible if it doesn't contradict scripture.

Hos 4:6 (NIV) My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.

So its not if the knowledge contradicts the Bible. Its the fact that God's knowledge and wisdom is sufficient while mans is not.
