I would have to say I am a generally happy person. I guess the question would be for me when wasn't I not happy. I would say a few times in my life.
But everyone has their own definition of happiness. Some people think if they get something they will be happy, or achieving something would make them happy. From my experience it didn't seem to matter what they got, or what they achieved they were constantly looking for happiness.

unfortunately, not very long at all. even with antidepressants and therapy my depression is reoccurring. however, the longest stretch of happiness has been longer than three days.
I suggest that you talk to a psychiatrist or therapist.
