I mean the whole premise of Wicca is to harm none and do to others as you would want them to do unto you. Also, we are generally accepting, so why can't others accept us?

It's because many people do not understand what Wicca is. Otherwise, they were given false information by harmful people. It's sad, but there are people out there spreading lies about Wicca and Paganism for whatever twisted reasons. The best you can do is be a good representative of your religion to be an example for others to see. Continue to respect others, and you might be able to make some change as a role model. Continue to explain that you stand for peace, respect, and that your theology is based around harming none. Be patient, and answer questions.

Ignorance my dear... The #1 reason we are called evil...
I have been a Pagan for 21 years, and not a whole lot will change the way people think about us unless there are major tolerance reforms within our society.
I have been arrested for my beliefs, cornered by old ladies in a grocery market, had my life threatened, etc...
I can tell you this though. If anyone ever calls you evil again, just smile, be pleasant, and say...
" I am so sorry that you are so ignorant about other religions"
" I hope one day you will learn of the true peaceful nature of Wicca"
There is not a whole lot else to do. Start trusting your inner senses, and walk away from people who you think are about to attack your personal beliefs. You will soon be able to spot them a mile away.

Revelation 12:9 sums up your answer pretty well - The Whole World IS DECEIVED.
Not only deceived - but; separated, prejudized, homo-gonized and/or etc.
It surrounds education ... people do not become deceived on their own so much - they are taught to be deceived and walk in those paths thinking it is a righteous path ... why?
Because they walk on it ... seldom today do you find one to admit they lived a lie.
I was a warlock for many years before I was shown the truth ... don't fret - most christians have no idea they are more lost than those that have found paths that almost make sense to them ... christians always complain they don't get the answers ... it is because when the blind follow the blind - they both fall into the ditch THEY MADE.
With this oncoming war in these end days ... soon even the christians when they see the way of peace they sought (completely different than what the Messiah taught) brings only destruction and when all hope for life is lost ...
then they will repent or die at their own hands.
Our creator is so loving he has called out his remnant in the last days - the remnant of the 144,000 that are preparing to teach all who will desire life and to survive and get rid of all the disease they got ...
When they did it ... theirrrrrr wayyyyyyyy.
Satan separates with her teaching from the whore that sits on 7 hills of Rome ... I was welcomed back to the catholic church with open arms WITH THEM KNOWING I WAS A WARLOCK - AT THAT TIME STILL PRACTICING ... as they do the same.
The real asnwers will be sought by you all when the bombs finally destroy 4/5ths of the world and mankind ... when the dust and debris clothes the earth from the rays of the sun and the moon is turned to blood and alll hope for survival has failed ... and the christian peace plan is revealed to it's fullest ...
Then you will have your eyes open and everyone will accept everyone ... as everyone will be seeking the only way - the ground and pillar of the truth - the true faith.

You are a victim of other people's ignorance. In general people hear 'Wicca' and think it means the same as 'witch' and 'witch' is of course associated with Satanism (which from what I understand also has some bad press). Some of the terminology like 'coven' is also associated with 'satan-worshiping witches.'
The pentacle (again associated with Satanism) doesn't help either.
Sorry for the bum rap. (I'll admit to making the same mistakes until I actually researched Wicca)

Because they are narrow minded, bigoted hypocrites with the intellectual powers of a snail. They think they alone have the answers to life the universe and everything when in reality the answer is 42. They just do not know what the question is exactly.

Unfortunately, the christians wish to condemn all non christians to "hell" because it is a very insecure & childish religion.
You probably know that the god Pan, ie nature, was personified as bieng the devil by the xians because they feared the fact that so many people worshipped him centuries ago, and that he was a peaceful force - and so against what the church stood for at the time.

I have a ring that says "harm none". I had a complete stranger tell me one day that the ring offended her. I asked her what in the phrase "harm none" offended her. She had no answer. I have nothing against Wiccans, and do not understand anyone who would have a problem with a religion that was pro-peace and anti-violence.

people are misinformed. they think they are right but guess what there not... my friend is Wicca and i have learned some things i did not know, but because i hang around here has not changed my visions at all. ah dirt tell them to piss off if they don't like who you are- plenty of people out in the world today.
