Christians unanimously responded to my previous question that God does have a reason for not intervening to save a burning child, but we are not capable of understanding or knowing his reason. Reason tells me that if any mortal has had an opportunity to save my child from burning, but did not at least attempt to do so, I am entitled to an explanation or an apology, or I can conclude that the person is bad. Why does this logic, the same logic that God tells me to use in all other aspects of life, not apply to our thinking about God? We do not get an explanation and we do not get an apology, yet we are still required to consider him great. God can do or not do whatever he wants and we have to accept it as good. We have to look back to primitive civilizations ruled by Kings and Queens to see this type of unquestioning acceptance by massive groups of people. I think it is no coincidence that the text which you base your beliefs on was written by men who lived in such a civilization.

"God does have a reason for not intervening to save a burning child, but we are not capable of understanding or knowing his reason."
This means you have asked a question that has made them nervous and they do not have a Bible verse memorized to explain it.
The correct answer is "You're right. That doesn't sound like a perfect entity, does it?"

God cannot do whatever He wants. He left that choice to us, to live how we want. He gave us the choice in the Garden of Eden, and now must stand behind it. The reason He would not stretch out his hand to save a burning child is the same reason He wpould not reach out his hand to smite those that do wrong. He CHOSE to let us live as we wish, and as such, he has to let us live as we live. why would a child lay burning if it were not for the way we lived? im not saying that this child is bearing the punishment for all humanity, but simply that, if we did not live in constant sin, then it wouldnt happen.

this burning child would remorse Him deeply, but He would let it pass, else He would have to intervene in other aspects of life as well(such as sin) as He did when He flooded the earth. Else, how could He keep his integrity?

I hope that helps, and that your view of religion is slightly less tarnished than it was before. You just got the facts from people who didnt understand what the Bible was saying. Good luck in life and God Bless.

Well stated.

People are confused by the fact that miracles sometimes happen and 'reality shifts' occur under certain conditions related to individual states of consciousness or mass consciousness.

God is the multi-dimensional field of reality responsive to consciousness in which we are embedded. We literally "live by faith" or experience what we have been taught to believe in. Our suffering - including the experience of losing a child in a horrendous way - is extremely complex and would be linked not only to the karma/fears of parent and child, but all the helpless onlookers or saviors as well.

People would rather believe that a deity has some plan or purpose for the awful events, rather than attempt the difficult spiritual journey necessary to change their minds and their reality.

Well I think you need a classroom discussion for your question.

The more general answer is that in human history we have seen many great men and woman who have their flaws. Why is it possible that we can give those human beings slack and still consider them great and knowing they were not saints but we don't do that for God? Or perhaps you are conceding Christians this point while you do not.

Why?....you want answers?, but you did'nt read the book!!! You couldn't have...it says it all plain and simple...It just amazes me when people are soooo quick to blame God for everything that happens bad....but they are wrong....it is not God...it is YOU!!! If you would have read the book you would know that the first thing that Jesus did when he came out of hell was to GIVE US BACK THE POWER OF OUR TONGUES...the power that was taken by the devil, the keys of the kindom, the key of death, was given back to us,...if a child died it is because you were not prepaired with the proper knowledge to protect that child...and if a person who does not know this let a child die, they too are responsible...for without knowledge my people perish...you are entitled to read the book...not an apology, if you are to apologize to anyone it should be to God for you as so many others do...blaming him for something that is in your control.. not his...He is NOT a dictator...he is a perfect gentleman, if he were to force his way on anyone, this world would implode instantly...because his word would not be true anymore...you have a free will...because of what Jesus did...you are either condemned or sanctified by the words of YOUR mouth...so quit blaming GOD for your lack of knowledge...you lost at the game of life because you were to arrogent or stupid to read the rule book....thats it...He IS great and if you took as much time to find this out as you do to try to blame him for your lack of knowledge you would know this...bad things happen because people will not take control of their tongues and protect their families with it. God created this world with his words...and we are created in his image...but man who thinks himself so high and mighty cannot believe it is this simple..so we go around making messes everywhere...then blames God instead of the truth..even though God makes it very plain and simple to understand....until you REALLY study the book, the word of God- you will not find the answers you seek- there is your explanation...God does not take away or kill children, or steal peoples loved ones...this would make him a liar and a thief...and again the world as we know it would implode in a split second... the devil is the one that kills steals and distroys...and as long as he knows you dont know how to protect yourself in the word...your fair game...and lets get one more thing straight...it was not the men themselves that wrote the word of God...it was the guided spirit within them that put the wisdom of the ages in words from mens hearts...if you are going to try to find God by looking at man...you will never know him...it is in what Christ did for you that you will find God...

You are correct.

But it gets worse. Consider the Book of Job. Job got messed up and actually had the nerve to ask god - "what's going on?" Job wasn't turning his back on god. He just wanted to know why this was happening. Apparently, god got very PO'ed about being asked such and unreasonable question.

Hard to fathom, isn't it ?

I believe that parents should watch their kids closer. And children should obey their parents and they will Live long upon the earth. Many cases of children dying because of disobedience or foolish parenting. We have the power and free will w/ our lives. That's a cop out ,blaming God.
GOD BLESS

No matter how they word their answers they will all lead to because he's god and he can. The whole concept of god is faith based so you either believe the bs stories or you don't.

I stand by my previous answer. And I hope you can see what I am trying to say. Don't worry, I am not trying to convince you. Nothing I say will do that. Just letting you know what I believe. Take it any way you wish. Thanks again and have a good day!

None of this can be fully explained to you in Y/A....
For a clearer understanding of what "Christians" are trying to relay to you, you will first have to do your own research by finding quality Bible studies to attend and learn from.
I know that I, as a Christian, still learn things about the Bible every time I study but I do have a hard time relaying information to those who ask because some things are just things that you have to learn and absorb on your own.
It's worth your time and effort!!!
Best wishes!
