Hello, I havent had this but I have heard that the botox chemical is being used more and more in medicine.
Its supposed to help with muscle problems and spasms or something.

hi, this is from wikipedia.org
Researchers discovered in the 1950s that injecting overactive muscles with minute quantities of botulinum toxin type A decreased muscle activity by blocking the release of acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction, thereby rendering the muscle unable to contract for a period of 4 to 6 months.

Alan Scott, a San Francisco ophthalmologist, first applied tiny doses of the toxin in a medicinal sense to treat crossed eyes and uncontrollable blinking, but needed a partner to gain regulatory approval to market his discovery as a drug. Allergan, Inc., a pharmaceutical company that focused on prescription eye therapies and contact lens products, bought the rights to the drug in 1988 and received FDA approval in 1989. Allergan renamed the drug Botox.

Cosmetically desirable effects of Botox were quickly discovered thereafter when the frown lines between the eyebrows were observed to soften following treatment for eye muscle disorders, leading to clinical trials and subsequent FDA approval for cosmetic use in April 2002. As of 2006, Botox injection is the most common cosmetic operation in the United States.

Besides its cosmetic application, Botox is used in the treatment of

migraine headaches
cervical dystonia (a neuromuscular disorder involving the head and neck)
blepharospasm (involuntary contraction of the eye muscles)
severe primary axillary hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)
Other uses of botulinum toxin type A that are widely known but not specifically approved by FDA include treatment of:

involuntary microexpression facial triggers (concealing a lie)[citation needed]
overactive bladder syndrome with or without incontinence
anal fissure
spastic disorders associated with injury or disease of the central nervous system including trauma, stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, or cerebral palsy
focal dystonias affecting the limbs, face, jaw, or vocal cords
TMJ pain disorders
diabetic neuropathy
wound healing
excessive salivation

I receive Botox injections in my shoulders, neck, skull and temple for muscular pain. It is suppose to paralyse the muscle and relieve the pain. However, during my brain surgery they took much of my skull out and most of C1 and C2, so after falling down 9 concrete stairs and landing on my head, I now have broken facets in my neck (can be considered a broken neck) and damage to the rt frontal lobe. The reason for the injections is b/c I do not have the bone density to hold up my head thus putting extra pressure on the muscles in my neck and shoulders. It is chronic pain. Unfortunately, it takes about 3 to 4 weeks to reep the benefits and it only lasts about 2 months. And you are not suppose to get as many as I receive more than 2x a year. I hope that this helps you. It is very painful, at least for me as the muscle is so tight it often bends the needle and my Doctor has a very hard time getting it into the muscle. Just giving you information, I hope whatever reason they are doing it for you is helpful and NOT painful,
Best wishes

For non medicine information on muscles (gathered from medical text books) read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies.
Magnisium helps regulate many things in the body - bananas and/or molasses are both muscle relaxers containing magnisium and potassium.
