Whenever someone asks about immigration laws they are greeted with stupid answers. Like the girl who wanted to know if she found out her non american husband used her if he woudl be deported. She was told to not marry him because he was an immigrant. Also many people ask questions about becoming citizens legally and are greeted with "stay in your own country" What's the point in that?

I would love to know the exact answer myself. As a supporter of immigrants (legal and illegal) I find the behavior on these forums disturbing. Many are trying to ask serious questions and they get responses like you asked above.
I just wish some would develop a little more tolerance and end their petty attacks on immigrants, who are like the rest of us, but happen to be born somewhere else. Nationality should not prevent good people from being able to make a decent living and contribute to society. Whatever happened to judging someone on their character or merits?

This is an issue that turns people off, and no matter which way you go with it you will incur wrath and hatred from the other side of the fence.
To make things worse, everyone claims to be an "expert" on everything, and this forum allows people to stroke their egos without consequence.
The fact of the matter is that Immigration Law is just as complex as the IRS tax code. It takes many years of experience to get a good, working knowledge of it. You will not find much expert advice here, I'm afraid.
So, go with the best and ignore the rest. You can tell who is articulate and professional and who is not. You are right. There are too many self-styled experts and too many people who are just plain vicious.
Most rational, normal people have no problems with legal immigration. Nearly everyone agrees that illegal immigration is a stain on our country and needs to be dealt with in a severe yet humane manner.
There are no easy answers when discussing this topic.

I don't know why they hate the immigrants if the majority of their people also came from other countries, it doesn't matter if they are white, black, asian, latino, the people came on a boat from another countries no matter how long. We are all immigrants. They say that the illegal immigrants take the jobs, well what happend when the white people came and took the land from the native american? Talk about illegal.

You did good. How did you do it? Good answers and
thumbs up. I ask a question to inspire good will and
understanding and the idiots are thicker than cockroaches
in the ghetto. When small minded people run out of things to
hate each other about, they ware colors so they can know
who to hate. The sad part is they walk away considering
themselves intelligent. Ya wright!!
Hang in and good luck.

Quite a few of them are asking about a different country's laws so they can't even find the correct forum (designated by your country's flag).
And even more are trying to get free legal advice - I don't think the greedy immigration attorneys are signing up here to give free advice.
How do you know these are serious questions?

Isn't that sad? One asked if she (a US citizen) will be deported if she marries an "illegal immigrant."
The 3 things that bother me the most are. . . .
1. When people say "you need to go back to Mexico"
- How can someone assume someone is from Mexico? Even if they are US citizens (of Mexican descent) and if they love the Mexican culture, they still say this ignorant comment.
2. "We should deport them back to Mexico"
-All illegals are not Mexican, and all Mexicans are on illegal.
3. "All illegals should be deported/ all 12 million illegals should be deported"
-I would say, are you an idiot (not you)? Did you know all 12 million illegal immigrants will not be deported, it's a fact. It's like saying "when will pigs fly?" It's just not going to happen.

many of the people that use yahoo answers do so as a form of amusement. there are a lot of bullies here. if you want a serious answer, i would suggest doing so privately, perhaps going to a free law clinic. they won't laugh at or abuse you. good luck!
