Maha NiMH are the best AA batteries. I've used them for almost everything and they hold a charge for a long time. They offer a great charger for fast charging and trickle charging. They also have excellent AAA batteries.

Get you some Rayovac HYBRID rechargeables. You'll be very happy. Not only do they avoid the memory problem, they don't "run down" while they'er in your camera for weeks at a time. All other rechargeables actually discharge just from being in the appliance even if it's not used.

Rayovac is the first company to introduce the Hybrid. I think Duracell and Eveready may have them out very soon.

Here's another vote for MAHA 2700mah Nimh AA batteries, get the MAHA MH C204W charger with them.Thomas distributing has it as a kit, so does newegg.

the only batteries that don't have that are lithium. Unfortunately they don't make AA size lithium rechargeable batteries. I'd imagine that a fancier charger might make them last longer.
