What should I wear when I'm about to hand in a resume to the employer? Should it be a formal dress or can it be casual (t-shirt, baggy pants)?

This isn't an interview, I'm just handing in a resume that's all,

By the way, if I wear any type of shirt should I tuck it in?

I'd go no worse than business casual. I know when I was hiring, I'd ask the people who saw the resume's being turned in for an opinion of the person. Every littl bit makes a difference.

Dress as you would for the interview - image is especially important in advertising. Hang the jacket in the car and put it on before you walk into the agency. You never know who might be walking through the lobby just as you're handing out your resume - and the receptionist is a lot more likely to get a "who WAS that?" if you're looking fine. Good luck.

Depending on who the employer is. You always want to dress appropriately for the location and people who would be seeing you.

My suggestion is that you dress as if you are going for the actual interview. You never know who you might see. You may only be greeted by a receptionist. Or you may be asked to go to HR. You might be asked to speak with the assistant of the hiring manager who is sitting outside of the hiring manager's office.

Best wishes.

It depends on the kind of work you are looking for. Most of the cases the best is business casual, dark polo shirt, light trousers or something similar. Absolutely no t-shirts, and no sandals or snickers.

You never know - they may want to interview you. ALWAYS go to a prospective employer dressed as you would for an interview. Good, well fitting (NOT baggy) slacks, a nice polo shirt and good shoes should suffice.
